In my humble opinion, if there is any uptrend, it will only be at the beginning of the week and should taper down towards announcement date. After that, it may go back to its hibernation mode and consolidate again.
But if I am wrong, and it continues to shoot up past 6, I will be happily wrong : )

Traders may concern much about sell down. For longist like us should not concern too much. We should have confidence that' s why we are long, isn' t it? of course as usual they will be some people taking profit whenever a spike appears. I believe it will be uptrend next week.

Always Sell on News, unless it beats street expectations by a mile. The result guidance is already out, so do your diligence and deduce whether the announcement can beat that guidance.
But if you are long, who cares! With this company, I dont want more dividend, I want them to pump back more into expansions and growth. They have been doing that, and it shows in their result, stock price and market cap. No need to worry about their measly dividend yield, when the company posts record after record of growth in revenue and profit. My long bet is in their China arm. Thats where the future money is. HK will be a stepping stone, and winning (with PCCW) HK pension fund investment vehicle is a shot in the arm towards getting China market to grow. If you want my advice (which I may not be in the best position to do so), should buy on dips. I'm not asking you to average down, but have a base position, and as the price goes up, add as and when it dips / consolidate. Best of luck fellas.

You are right, result has been factored in, unless it beats expectations handsomely. The spike it may receive is from winning HK pension fund, which is a boost in revenue and profit. But even this has somewhat been factored in as news seemed to have leaked out. Is there further upside? IMHO, of course, thats why I'm long. How much upside short term remains to be seen. Look at volume for guidance.

How it plays out on Monday / next week will determine its short term range. Look at the volume as a guidance. The only concern (I have) is too much hype all of a sudden, plus a flurry of upgrading by the analysts. | ||||

There will be a time to have a good look at SPH.
Although their core is a sunset industry, and the real estate is not generating much due to C19 (but sitting at a gold mine location) . They are cash rich with low gearing debts and cheap P/B ratio. They are also at the infancy of embracing e-commerce, who knows where this will go.
But the time to enter is not now, in my opinion. Even for long, there is opportunity costs involved.

While I believe and also hope the upside is still "limitless" , there are too much hypes currently. Based on my long experience on IFast, not too much good things happen when there are too much hypes. Traders be careful. Longist can just enjoy the ride. I'll wait for it to consolidate before topping up again, hopefully just above 6 level. | ||||
