My Myanmese friends caution as the ruling military parties are running many state enterprise and rules are always changing in their favor. Even big Singapore enterprise also watching till US corporation started to venture in bigger ways. If you remember the China early days open-up, almost all companies are reporting big losses due to corruption, logistical support, etc. So Yongnam going in is likely to be an extreme risk-taking. If you remember the China early days open-up, almost all companies are reporting big losses due to corruption, logistical support, etc. So Yongnam going in is likely to be an extreme risk-taking. In fact before Yongnam, there were other consortium shortlisted but gave up because the compensation is not sufficient to cover the risk. Democracy is a pillar and foundation of free market and business activity. Democracy in Mynamar has yet to take its shape. This run a high sovereign risk where gov might nationalise Yongnam business properties. Myanmar' s economy has transform and open up too quickly, resulting in old politically powerful fraction losing too much. This run a high risk of old military gov coming back again. Current theme in the stock market is => Buy those bluechip operating in developed market due to the more attractive risk-return tradeoff. Thus new frontier business like those in Myanmar might not recieve a good valuation.   2 years ago I posted that the Target price is around 24 to 27cents. Anything above that 27cents is clear short sell sign. Look out for opportunity to short down the over-optimism tomorrow.

I provide exact TP and substaintiate it with substances. Unlike what you did in Blumont thread, I DON' T Continuously adj my TP downward as the stock price move down. And now we know the reason for the sale. In fact, the Edge has recently been speculating that Yongnam will return the proceeds to shareholders via a special dividend but now we know their action intention was to fund the airport project :D

The cash consideration for the Sale Transaction payable by the Purchaser is RM153.5 million, approximately S$60.0 million. The net book value of the Property is S$24.5 million.
