Two explosive-laden drones launched from Iranian territory targeted the private office of Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and the residence of the head of the " Parastin" security agency early Monday, according to an official statement by the Kurdistan Region Counter-Terrorism Directorate.
The attack took place at 00:28 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026, in the Pirmam district of Erbil province.
