Regardless of what you may have been told, Ukraine' s Nato aspirations is blocked by Hungary for years. And Hungary will likely also block Fin & Swed which shares the same troublesome borders with Russia. Nato will not accept new members if their membership creates trouble for existing members. And certainly not while a hot war is raging next door. While it may be true that Finland & Sweden worry and therefore wish to join Nato' s protection, other existing members will worry about them joining & having to protect them, after seeing what Russia did to Ukraine' s attempt to cross the Russian red-line. It is better for everyone that Finland & Sweden to stay neutral and not cross any red lines. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	neo nazi elements is erm how they define those weapons nuclear, yeah, as if US will allow nuclear warhead in mexico/cuba -.- nato just playing with ukraine. wont allow to join since russia dont allow it. if ukraine join, it mean russia vs nato. now russia vs ukraine and nato wont get involve since they dowan to get involve directly due to nuclear. basically any country with nuclear, unlikely to get nato un involve to avoid nuclear crisis. so can do watever they want? crimea and the other city in the east, if its majority russians who want to join russia...

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	A couple more update: Russia watered down its demands for the negotiations - Ukrainian Army will not be destroyed, but only the neoNazi elements to be removed from the ranks - Weapons (Missiles) that can carry nuclear warheads to threaten Russia will not be allowed in Ukr Other demands remain unchanged: -Ukr to officially renounce joining Nato - Crimea (a Russian territory transfered to Ukr in 1954 by the Soviets) must be officially recognised by Ukr as Russian territory

Notably against Ukraine' s fanatical nationalist " neoNazi" Azof Battalion. The Russians lost many men there. Fierce fighting is still happening and regardless of what you may have read, or not, the port city of Mariupol in the south has not fallen to Russian forces yet. They merely surround it & advanced the rest of their forces further away to not get bogged down by the stiff resistance. This is also true for several other areas along the 3000km frontlines stretching from the North, down to the East, and South.  Russian forces entered Ukraine from 6 or 7 different points and attacked along many axis, Crimea & Belarus are just 2 of them, in what has become clear as the war progresses, that they are executing the classic " pincer manuvre" to surround Ukrainian forces in a " Cauldron of fire"   Yes Chechnya was a nightmare. But it was fought by President Boris Yeltsin who led a very weak Russian Armed Forces on the ashes of the Soviet collapse. Still, Russian forces were triumphant despite losing many men using poor tactics they are now taking time to avoid repeating in Ukraine. Vladimir Putin came in only later and decisively ended the Chechen war in favour of Russia. His winning strategy was brute force against the battle-hardened Chechen Mujahideen fighters who trained in Afghanistan war. And flipping Chechen commanders to come over to his side (which is playing out in Ukraine now). Obviously this took a lot of manuvring & negotiation skills.
