 Alert Admin 		Investor look for growth, bombastic net profit like the glove stock, healthcare etc.

Vicpla merely stable business and every yr 3-5million net profit. That's y can't attract investors.

 Alert Admin 		' GENEVA:  The World Health Organization said on Tuesday (Mar 3) that understanding of how COVID-19 
spreads was rapidly increasing, but warned the protective gear needed to fight the disease was " rapidly depleting" .

The UN health agency voiced concern that the masks, googles and other protective equipment used by health workers
was running out amid panic  buying and manipulation of markets. " We are concerned that countries' abilities to respond
are being compromised by the severe and increasing disruption to the global supply of personal protective equipment ...
caused by rising demand, hoarding and misuse," WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told reporters in Geneva.

Another area that was not mentioned is probably the demand for medical devices which are basic needs of every hospital.
Just my view. Could be wrong.

Company' s financial year ends in July.

The 2nd half from from Feb ' 20 to July ' 20 will reflect the full financial
impact of Covid ' 19 on the company.

Medical devices which are basic needs of every hospital should
do well in view of the opening of many hospitals.

 Alert Admin 		This company (Vicplas) could be am overlooked company selling medical
devices to hospital. With the huge number of hospitals being build, this
company should benefit from it.

Note that the company was already profitable before the corona virus issues.
It makes a profit of  $2.8 mil from  medical  devices in its  latest  report. The other
sector that the company is in Pipes n Fittings contributed another $1.4 mil.

The forthcoming results which cover the months of Nov ' 19 to Jan ' 20 may not
show much improvements as the virus issues were identified only in Dec ' 19.
Improved results should show in subsequent quarters ... Feb ' 20 to April ' 20 and
again in May ' 20 and July ' 20. The financial year is from Aug to July.

Above are just my perceptions n i could be wrong. Dyodd.

 Alert Admin 		Vicplas is likely to be one of the few companies that will gain from the corona virus issues.
Their main businesses are medical devices n pipes n fittings. Their medical devices are
represented by 2 companies in China:

-  Forefront (Xiamen) Medical Devices Co., Ltd and
-  Forefront Medical Technology (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd in China

Medical devices are basic needs in all hospitals n clinics. With so many hospitals
opening in China, the company is likely to enjoy the upsurge in demands. As the
corona  issues  started  in  late december,    the results will  only show in the later
quarters ... feb to april.

Just sharing my thoughts. Dyodd

Note: the medical devices sector in Vicplas have been showing progress long before
the corona virus issues. It contributed to $2.8 mil profit in the last season.

Overview

SGX has adopted a risk-based approach for quarterly reporting (QR) effective 7 February 2020.
Under this approach, issuers must perform QR if:

(i) they have a modified audit opinion on their latest financial statements,

(ii) their auditors have highlighted a material uncertainty relating to going concern based on their
latest financial statements and/or

(iii) SGX has regulatory concerns about them.

Issuers have a 1-year grace period to commence QR, unless otherwise determined by the SGX[1].

Issuers that are required to do QR due solely to the reasons (i) or (ii) above are required to do QR
until  such  time  their  auditors  issue a clean opinion on their financial  statements and have not
highlighted any material uncertainty on going concern. Issuers which are required to do QR due to reason (iii) must perform QR until their regulatory issues
are resolved. SGX will advise such issuers when they can stop performing QR.

Note: Vicplas is not in the list of the 109 companies required to do quarterly report.

Full year is from Aug to July

Current 1st half result (Aug to Jan) is likely to be out around mid March.
As the wuhan health issues started in end 2019, the forth coming reults
in Mar may not reflect the impact on the financial results of the company.
The full impact of the wuhan health issues will be felt only in the 2nd half
result ie Feb to July.

Last financial year without the wuhan health issues, the company had a
net profit of $4.2 mil.

Hi Wiltay, agree with you. There  is no  interest in this  stock with  low volume
and      huge gap  between  buyers n sellers. It  reminds  me  of  the time when i
share on  stocks  like sunningdale, jep holding  and    chasen  at  a time when
these stocks were not popular at all. Then  after  many months, these stocks
finally woke and became multi baggers.
 
I have high conviction for Vicplas and i believe that if they can continue to produce
good results, it will eventually show  itself in the stock price. Patience, faith and
believe in the company' s ability to produce improved results are important. Its not
a stock for most people.
 
As mentioned in earlier post, i am in it for 3 reasons 1) excellent dividend yield,
2) low valuation n 3) potential for future growth. Growth in the medical devices 
sector had  been  encouraging even before the wuhan virus issues. It had jumped
from $24.9 mil in 2017 to $45.0 mil in 2019, an almost 100% jump in revenue. This
sector contributed $2.8 mil profit for the company in 2019. Now w the wuhan virus 
issues I think its fair to expect an even better set of results. Many people are not 
aware of or do not know what is medical devices. Its actually a basic need in all 
hospital and clinics.
