After the release, trading at half price might surge if there&rsquo s news from management. Short sellers might have to buy at a higher price unless the situation reverses. The halt is likely to prevent rapid price changes or perhaps management wants to penalize short sellers by halting trading and simultaneously releasing news. The halt could last more than three days, I think.

I don' t understand why people are trying to tease or scare the shortists.... why will shortlists be hit hard?? today' s shorted value is only $9k.. shortists are still making money base on price before halt at 0.015 its the longists who should be more worried, base on today' s counter behaviour. Many longists entry price are above 0.015... |

the very fact that the px plunged from 25 to 15 prior to halt speaks volume of the news thats forthcoming, i aint suggest anything or else later the 1/2 pips outcast will put words into my mouth. just my observations n it could be very wrong.

I believe there must be something positive on the horizon, as the morning buying was strong and pushed the price up to a maximum of 0.25. This was followed by profit-taking and some huge short selling. It seems the company' s management decided to halt trading before SGX could raise questions. They might be preparing to release new information before lifting the halt. But good luck for shooters | ||||

SGX is lousy as they cannot manage properly to ensure the Singapore stock market is well regulated unlike Hongkong where nobody can short sell if they don' t have the scrips on hand. This system is better in the sense that the share prices will not be suppressed unrealistically lower

This counter is manipulated by BBs and the announcement could be something not important and might affect the share price once the halt is lifted. Those who shorted might be in trouble if the halt is not lifted in one or two days
