Doubts over Sincere Property' s viability and likelihood that CDL may lose all of its $1.9b invested in Sincere.

I am not worried about family feud. I am more worried about CDL having to write off its investments in Sincere Property in China, which was already sinking before they acquired amajority stake in it. They already have $1.9billion invested / to be ploghed into Sincere and at same time its vialibity could be in doubt. If anything, this resignation revealed that CDL may have to eventually write off $1.9billion of its investment in Sincere If so, what will be its revised NAV.? The negativity is going to keep CDL' s price depressed for a while. I am holding 15 lots at average of around $7.60. Maybe time to jump ship and move over to stocks like SCI or SATs.

Looks more like a knee-jerk reaction. One director resigns, the company must go on. Nobody is indispensable, other companies also had their directors changed. Hopefully it will stabilise soon |

The situation dont look positive at all. Loans to Sincere is very large.....more so why does he need to resign ( if just loan alone ) He has been w CDL for very long time n officially say in SGX that they are disagreement w board . Hmm , cant this be settled ? I am very uncomfortable when a MAJOT key person resigned ? Dyodd Not vested |

I thk this is the key worry as the Group also provided a liquidity support undertaking totalling RMB 1.5 billion relating to the bonds issued by Sincere that are maturing on 26 October 2020 and a RMB 1.5 billion corporate guarantee in relation to an external bank loan obtained by Sincere. The total of these investments is $1.9 billion.
