Those who bought at $1.40 are those whose know where to entry at a cheap point. They will huart big. In view of current price with 50 cts div still worth enter now. After that it will still give at lease 10 cts div yearly in view of the history div.

i would advise you to look into the future potential of this company in terms of future profits, earnings etc. it may pay very good dividends but that is not sustainable without a profitable business model. currently, the 50 cents dividend does look attractive to anyone. but you must bear in mind this 50 cents dividend doesn't occur all the time. yes, you may opine probably next year there might be another spin off or divestment and another special dividend may come up, but it is seldom that fast. indeed, $1.40 might be its 52 week low, and buying now at $1.90 would be akin to buying at the 52 week low after XD. but how about those who bought previously about $1.40 when the news broke out that they are divesting away a part of their business? People would have bought by then in anticipation of a special dividend to be announced. the market is always forward looking. those who bought at $1.40 previously after XD, would mean that their cost would only be $0.90. Given the trend has always been that the share price would trend lower after XD, and given that their profits have been declining but yet still pay 10 cents dividend, it would buy this stock after XD.

Just my point of view. Current price $1.90. If minus off 50 cts div you are buying @$1.40 which is the 52 week low. The CD still not shown in the price list still can buy lar ! Once the CD appear it should rise further.

I vested & sold last yr! Did not buy back as I shifted to Wing Tai. But tis time was surprise of the high dividend. Not surprise the share price will fall after div as it usually does. This company never disappoint share holder by sharing profit. Good to vest at a right time! Jus my view. |

share is S$1.85, current asset per share is also S$1.86, which will give a liquidating
value (LV) of S$1.86 per share by estimation. Normally the listing status priced at about 1.5
time of LV in the market, so the target price most likely shall be at S$2.79. DYODD. Vested.
