Today, looks like the palm stocks on the up. Likely to be on the bullish side over the next few qtrs with CPO px forecast to be around RM2700-3000. But of course, expect a lot of bumps along the way, especially given the expectation that demand will not be strong. |

BT article headlined n linked below for read. It quotes an analyst whose forecast in early 2014 for CPO to reach RM 3,600 did not materialise, if I recall correctly .....

Notice every 1 to 2 days this will drop a bit .. a bit abit sooner or later will reach $0.36 and then maybe even lower Afterall its dividend 0.502c or 1.3% is poor compare to other STI index stock like SingTel 5% YZJ 5% or even ThaiBev 2+% If you buy say at $0.38 now may need to wait a few months at least till next up cycle for you to sell. But then due to the " sell in may and go away" tactics, may have to wait until oct2016 then got next up cycle

My view is such rpts don' t seem to be balanced. Seems that CPO px itself is not factored in even though over the last six mths, CPO px has increased over 20%, from USD 480+/mt to abt 600 (recall the same omission in another house call I came across too).

Don' t blame them partly bcos many of them just don' t have a good grasp of a lot of the listed stocks, not to mention that stocks appear, to me, more sentiment than fundamental driven (my added cynicism of course is that they are getting more n more manipulated). So, in an apparently BB-driven mkt, unless the brokers are hooked onto some BBs' lines, many of them are likely as much in the dark as we. So, the best is dyodd in invest/trade at ur own comfort level ..... n don' t even be influenced by calls here in SJ to wait for certain (low/high) px to buy/sell. For those who had followed some of the unrealistically low calls on the bks .... well, they are probably sadly regretting it now.

When the price at 0.30, my broker tell me don' t buy, but I still buy. When the price at 0.35, my broker ask me to sell, but I still hold it.

EL Nino is fading in months but weak demand weak soya bean till 2017??? So just queue buy at $0.36 or below This should come down by may to oct2016 , remember " sell in may and go away" |

Brother, I' ve posted below some literature that suggest that probably crude palm oil px will be well supported for the next few qtrs due to the after effects of the strong El Nino weather phenomenon over the last 6-9 mths. But longer-ternm seems that demand is not that strong, partly impacted by abundance of the competing soya bean oil. Nevertheless, my own optimism, albeit short-term (ie, over next 12 mths), is GA cld reach 50c. I also have IndoAgri on my radar as a CPO n sugar play too. Seems that sugar px wld be supported due to the EN as well. But, like we always caution, dyodd.
