 Alert Admin 		ok... so it means if I have 1000 MCB, it may become 206 SIA shares?

Is it really worth to subscribe?

No you don't need to fork out anymore than what you pay for the MCB At maturity you will be credited with the extra MCB and you can convert that total MCB to SIA shares. The 4.84 is the factor they divide to calculate the number of SIA shares you will convert to.

 Alert Admin 		Earlier on in the morning, I tot and posted that SIA probably will hit $5 max for today, how wrong can it be. I saw high at 5.05, so there is much support for it. Said many time liaow, play SIA CANNOT use fundamental and logic one.CANNOT say SIA lost 4.3 billions, so if 1 year make 100 millions than take how long just to break even, so share price only can start go up after making profit. It dun work like that for this counter. U see, SIA only announced this Sat start flying to Macau or some good news and the share can hit 5.05, din make any money yet right ? Wat if tonight announce SG-HK air passage on, tomorrow shoot thru the roof for its share price right, but still not making any dole yet hor.

I get your point..If an investor uses his CPF to buy SIA shares, he can sell his shares to return the cash and profits then take up the MCB which has lower cost. Then it is worth it considering the spare cash return to CPF can gain compound interest

 Alert Admin 		Many retail players have bought SIA shares. Brokers often think they are fools and will always lose money Last night at Cold Storage overheard a remisier advising his client over the phone. Should his client take up the MCB? $2.85 very cheap..If not using this money for 9 years,.few hundred dollars or a couple of thousands why not?

 Alert Admin 		In long run they will probably be able to earn back but that would take at least five years or more.  But when travelling resumes, market will react differently. It isn' t about them making profit anymore.

 Alert Admin 		oil price already shot up, not sure if sia did hedge it, another mistake if hedging price done wrongly, its worrying, profitablility at least many year later and with each country getting new variants and 4/5/6 waves, this counter is worth only for a decade of hold, otherwise many other counters have must better fundamentals.
imagine if sourh korea permits group travel for vaccinated group in july, just one case erupts, we are in for another heightened measures. due diligence from our govt is important, sia can lose money but not many businesses out there

You can invest in ST Engg if going for dividend, very consistent dividend annually, is a very good and stable stock, but it hardly move, so your money kenna stuck there. SiA will move fast if play is ON, that why pp invest in it, to each his own. cannot say pp are brainless lor as someone here said
