Bro, I rather you stick to your algo trading as you profess to work in such a company!! To each his own lah, no offence lah. Sellers and Buyers can still make money from either side of the mkt which depends on many factors whether these mkt particpants are jobbers/day traders/short term traders or even medium to long term investors!! | ||||

Anyway in all types of share investnents, the earnings will decide the mkt direction of the particular share even in a BEAR MKT. As long as we know STA or STGT will make money, no need to worry about any impending price collapse as STA and STGT are well managed companies as I can vouch for them as STA is a business associate of mine as I am an international rubber dealer with vested interest in STA Thai. Short term mkt retracement is healthy to correct short term overbot condition and any mkt excessess. Dip buying is still better for choice for any buy and hold investor with a medium to long term outlook unitl 1st half june 2021. Let's HUAT together after 2nd quarters results due to coming revisions of price targets by banks and brokerage houses. | ||||

They selling to fund their purchase of STGT. So it is still left to right pocket since STA owns 51% of STGT. I will do the same if I were them

Regarding the unsuspecting news release on 7 August after STGT opened at 86.25, 1.25 Baht higher than 6 August close at 85 Baht, STGT hit a low at 85.25 before recovering on strong Thai investors interest as a buying recommendation by CSLA broking house on 6 August was well executed at 85 Baht and yet lots of buying interest at that level on 7 August undone but with strong underlying support at that level helping to push the STGT to hit a high of 89.25 before some weekend paring of gains to close at 88.50. Probably the STGT discounted the news already as recent trading volume on the low end. Lets monitor on monday whether there is more reaction to the news or not. But from my own assessment, if STGT wanted to correct down to below 6 August close of 85 Baht, it could have done so on 7 August itself. Anyway let STGT decide its own mkt direction on Monday as STGT is more proned to the upside on better STA gloves division financial release 14 August. | ||||

Technicals shirt Term Update: STA Sing Daily Moving Averages: 5 $1.3860 10 $1.3250 20 $1.3050 50 $1.3340 7 July close at $1.30. Reading more or less is weak basis the close STA Thai Daily Moving Averages: 5 27.25 10 26.09 20 27.32 50 27.36 7 July close at 28.50. Reading more or less supported at 26 Baht level. Both Weekly and Monthly Moving Averages still well supported without breakdown. As STA is the lead mkt, with growing signs of upward bias technically, short term dip buying still better for choice on higher rubber prices till date since the march low and strong earnings contributions from STA gloves division. this coming 14 August result release. As such, STA Sing will still be well supported at the $1.24 level (50% Fibonacci retracement between most recent top of $1.45 and a low of $1.03 most recent low) as unlikely for STA Sing to be discounted to STA Thai with currency conversion (0.04415) when STA Thai rises. | ||||

Finanasia Securities Thailand one of the lead underwriter for STGT released on 20 May for STA with TP at 42.50 Baht whilst Citibank in June released their TP at 39.80. Wait for more analyst to upgrade new TP after 2nd quarters results. Till date, mkt does not know within this year that STA probably will announce interim dividend upon decent profits for 2nd quarters results. | ||||

When one person says he gonna short, that doesn' t mean he really shorted it. Do you see with your own eyes he short it? Beware that it is just a trick thus you unload for him to load cheaper. Lol. Cuz perhaps he is mixing his personal agenda against the objective of funds and fund houses. Funds look at prospective stocks with mid and long term objective. Even if objective is for short term, it also won' t engage in dangerous short-selling trades. It will look at stocks with short term buy position and exit upon hitting target price. I wonder what kind of " fund" he works with that will engage in such dangerous short-selling trade. Of course if it' s a " private fund" that investors don' t care how their monies are managed n how the fund conduct trades then that' s a different story.
