It is no brainer to think that the Myanmar military rulers will step down. Many countries in the world are still ruled by military rulers. Looked at the mess that the US has created in Iraq and Libya after they killed the military rulers. Civil wars broke out because all the warlords want to take control of the countries. HK is also a classic example. Protests and demostrations lasted a year. What did these activiists get in the end? HK is still HK, a city of China. China has begun prosecuting these trouble makers using China laws. Life is back to normal even though people are stil unhappy at least no more protests, etc.

According to the Myanmar Now news portal, 91 people were killed across the country by security forces. A boy reported by local media to be as young as five was among at least 29 people killed in Mandalay. At least 24 people were killed in Yangon. 1:00 p.m. Eight countries ? Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand ? have sent representatives to the Armed Forces Day military parade in Naypyitaw, Nikkei has learned. The representatives were military attaches Russia also sent its deputy defense minister.

Already, many of the young protestors are undergoing military training to protect themselves as they see no hope of international military intervention. The protestors have ethnic armies on their side.
