It might not always have such relationship when the price moves, especially at the final stage on uptrend and downtrend. In such situation, we usually see divergence in price and volume, and not convergence.  And also, during the downtrend, we often see small volume could push down the price becuase of no buyer, or manipulated by the monkeys.  On Thai beer now, the shrinking volume, i.e. falling volumes compared to previous volume, means selling pressure is getting weaker, and this is usually a postive sign near the support level. which is happening now on Thai beer. Of course, heaving selling can also come back tomorrow. Then, we have to be careful if this happens, because very likely the support level would break, and the price fall further.
