cpf in singapore is disgusting.. although i understand the rationale... withdrawing epf in malaysia is crazy (in another opposite end) but it fits nicely into many " malay" mentality that you use your future money to settle your current problem first... think later.. but then again, isn' t this the mentality of the ang mos too? i am a NUS (singapore) graduate and put it this way. if not family business, i would be working in Singapore now... probably becoming a Singaporean too... but unlikely marrying a Singapore lady (no offence) ...

One major downside is to move out of Msia to live in Australia or New Zealand is macam like to stop eating at hawker centres to eat daily in MBS Foodcourt where one regular plate of Cha Kway Teow is $8.80. Same same for Fishball Noodles.

If you look back at how our scholars handle the situations in Jan, Feb 2020......... And also what some of the world most qualified people said during that time as well.......... I take what they say with a large pinch of salt.

Bro rotijal, Many years ago I heard this joke about their Police Force. A Police Officer will bribe his way to get a transfer to the Traffic Police department becoz to be a traffic cop in Bolehland is the " most lucrative" of all jobs in the Police Force. Many, many moons ago, I personally kena. Cost me RM50.00 to make the problem " go away" . My very first boss also related his experience to me. He said after being stopped by the traffic cop, he was asked " Do you want to pay your fine in Court No. 1 or Court No. 2 ?" My boss asked what is the difference. The traffic cop said " Court No. 1 is in KL" . After that he added... " Court No. 2 is here."   ![]() Scenes of Msian life is sometimes bely farnie.    ![]()

Agree with you on this bro Poo,  the unpredictable market.    I am slowly relinguishing my position for cash some with only small profits, so that when opportunities comes, we still have our bullets to fire.

It really depends on the situations.  For us in Singapore, we can afford to wait as out cases are low.  But imagine you are in US, in the high risk group with  existing medical conditions, would you want to wait to get a vaccine jap or you want one asap?

What if Briton now phark chump and boh tai chi, but 6 months or 1 year later, wu tai chi then how? So, even if vaccines are available in your country, do not " front run" and be the first to phark chump.

wah...that means future generations will suffer greatly especially for non-bumiputras there...some of my relatives are thinking of migrating to australia/new zealand for good...they said it' s for their children' s future....  now somemore msia epf (equivalent to cpf in spore) are allowing special withdrawal of up to rm60k? so basically most will withdraw some money from epf for living expense at this critical covid19 period....basically wiping out their retirement funds?!

Brother Lake, just my view on managing the few counters that I am holding. Small sum involved.   Preparing my reserve just in case DT and his inner circle throw a spinner and DJ plunge.   I ready to scoop those on my watch list. My plan from now until 1st quarter of 2021.

But if boh tai chi then they will start buying the vaccine and tell their own population... " lai ar...lai ar...kin ar...lai phar chum arrr" .

yes. noone has a simple majority and all the ghosts " hantu" politicians are only interested in enriching themselves if you ask me, Malaysia has 2 big political crisis (long term) 1) like many countries, Malaysia is split between the urban voters and the village voters. The urban voters are more informed, critical and matured so they will always support the party who is fair and just. The village voters are the conservative ones who are often misled by 3R (race, religion and royalty) so they will always support the party who always champion Malay First mentality. This split will haunt Malaysia probably for another 10 years..... until one day if the village voters can be more educated? or the reverse if the urban voters somehow get brainwashed by the 3R politicians 2) the deep state (civil servants)... most malaysia civil employees have been lazing and enjoying all the benefits for so many decades and they are now a big force that no government (PH or PN) can change. They were fed and grown by UMNO in the good old days and they will protect themselves and will not listen to any new government who wants to change them. For example, you have heard of how corrupted the police force is in Malaysia. This corruption is fed by the corrupted government but now they are also an independent unit who might or might not listen directly to any new government. this is a very big problem and can only be solved if problem 1 can be solved and Malaysia can have a very very strong new government like hong kong ICAC which will reform the whole system. i am not racist but given the current mentality of most Malaysian.... i do not think it is easy to change... most Malaysians are used to this and have also accepted this culture...

Bro Ken, I remembered you saying to cut the branches of Fu Kwei Hwa and more shoots will spring out....and you even send a video if I recall correctly. I did just that, but unlike in the video, I use a plant scissor to cut off many " branches" so the plant is like almost bald.  Yesterday, I see shoots springing out, many shoots and I hope very soon, it will yield flowers into 2021 for me to Huat Ah, Huat Ah, Huat Ah. Thank you for your advise on cutting the " branches"

Agreed.  And the irony is little people will apreciates a crisis that has been prevented/avoided and at the same time many will criticise on the down sides of the action taken to prevent the crisis.  However, if the crisis goes full bloom and someone came out with a solution and save the day, that person will become the hero.  The later is what most western countries are gunning for.

Bro Po, Manage to find time to catch up on some old chats and read your interesting post last Saturday.    I agree with you and that is why we can loon because we are using our Cash account, not CFD, which has daily holding cost to worry about.    In today' s unpredictable market, no one can know what the stock you bought will do tomorrow, so its better for the heart to just use spare Cash that would otherwise end up in the Bank.

boss luzern.. sadly this is the negative problem of democracy... if the government is wrong everyone will blame them and they will lose in the next election. noone wants to risk that where else in china, the government does not need to worry about this. if they are wrong noone can blame them and noone can vote them out. at most they just change the guy on top but the party is still the same
