Thai Sri Trang sets IPO price at S$1.20 Post Reply Rate topic

(since much of these news are in english, unless there are Thai news coverage, which we won' t know too).  Once they see the quarterly financial statement by STA, they might start jumping in again. Do not forget that not just glove business is doing well, STGT is the 3rd largest in wordwide, and 1st largest in Thailand. Besides that, there is IPO of STGT in July (probably this will not be covered though).  Definitely we have shorties burned badly in SGX-STA, as SGX had carried out buy-in of shares at 41,100 volume today. It is not to say who is right or who is wrong. Money can be made from the long or short side of the market. Like I have always said: Do your own due diligence. As for me, I am only vested in STA Thai for a medium to long term buy and hold strategy as I am a full time international rubber trader and as such I do not have the privilege of attentively watching the daily price movements unlike some of these forum bloggers who are retired and trading is their main bread and butter. Lets then wait for the results on 14 August to decide further on STA's mkt trend.

Even if his " Algo" changed the stance back to short also doesn' t really matter to us too. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	You are right. That' s exactly why I invest in Sri Trang and not Top Gloves/UG/Riverstone etc.  Share price way up too high. Good news on expanding business on news and etc etc. Tactics employed to entice investors/traders to invest more in their shares.  I prefer slow, stable and steady Sri Trang.    There have been good news released yet the price isn' t inflated sky high yet. If the business is really bad, and insiders are selling(??). Then the IPO price of STGT will not be at 80+ baht already. 80+ baht is 3~4 times more than STA price.      Besides, insider trading is forbidden. Even if insider wants to sell, they have to wait till the bad news is announced. Stock is good for holding long term, not for instantaneous profit. linguist      ( Date: 11-Aug-2020 16:31) Posted: no one can predict what' s going to happen next. but one can tell that shortist at works to suppress Sri Trang price, by looking at the short-sell/naked short volume trades happened last Wed - Fri.  if this stock is not in demand, there won' t be that rise in short-sell/naked short trades volume.  if you are panicked because the counter is not moving much at all, then perhaps you have entered this counter on contra, which is what the shorties are betting on that those contra players have to dump their stocks at a loss so that they can cover their shorts, just to earn a few pips.  if you can keep the stocks, keep it. Once the shorties are gone or the BBs are in, this counter will fly like the rest. if you can' t, just dump it. Try again on other counters or this later as you would like.
