Bio has accumulated losses of SGD46m based on audited 2019 AR. If the company can make USD8m from testing kits ... that' s SGD11m. Assuming the rest suddenly becomes zero (or the extra test kits sales offset other losses). It would take 5 years to wipe out the accumulated losses before Bio can start paying dividends. Now, COVID still around after a few years? That would be COVID-24. LOL. " Companies pay dividends to shareholders out of retained earnings. A company with negative retained earnings is said to have a deficit. It does not have any money in retained earnings, so it cannot pay out a dividend. If they give 1.5c per sh, they only distribute just $3mil, still got 7mil to add into their safe deposit box. Actually currently they already do have quite a bit of cih, 2.3cps. Kongsi not really too hard up for cash, just opinion. I believe it is the leader in this field. .but there are probably even more bad Chinese companies/products. wokiechewbacca      ( Date: 29-Apr-2020 13:19) Posted: I am under the impression the biggest key is actually provisional authorisation by SG Health Sciences authority. This will enable them to leapfrog and get other certifications easily. HSA (gov agency) pants will drop if they suddenly uturn/made mistake. Unless bio got powerful friends or what, then idk. Abbott and Roche sg also got authorisation except theirs are PCR Kits. It?s the same logic as bio using Aytu to get US FDA. Just like how China used bio to leapfrog. China products don?t mean not good, pple always kp but in the end LL head to toe also Chinese products and camp at Taobao. But for sure, very hard for China made products to be legit and penetrate global market especially such sensitive products. Have to admit most are of questionable quality especially when there is no multiple proper accreditions.
