The CEO will be presenting on Wed and lets hear what he got to say about his plans and biz forecast going fwd. Btw, the dividend is 5.5c. Any buyers holding till dividend payment will benefit..

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Medtecs in Catch 22 for some times already.  Fundamentals and earnings continue to be strong, however the main issue is who is holding the shares ??? My assessment is retail investors only hold about 20%, Medtecs management another 20%, Multiple BBs (60%). BBs do not want to sell cheap, neither do they hv the capability to push higher.  So it is range bound now until a solution came out.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I guess the thing we have been dreading has actually taken place and that is the counter is way too high profile and that has caused everyone to have too high expectations as well. Although the number of companies who can declare such a net profit is very limited, but too much uncertainty in the future as to how sustainable the profits will be and where it would actually stabilise. Instead of looking forward to more growth in profits, the market appears to be looking forward to at what point of decrease in profits would it then stop and stabilise for MT which we will not be able to tell until few more quarters down the year. Many wouldn' t have such patience. Also, although the dividend to us appears to be good, however at TW forums there are a lot of people looking down on the dividend as they compared it to another company Kang Naxiang' s issued dividend.  pehpeh      ( Date: 01-Mar-2021 15:09) Posted: Greg Bro, I hate to say this but I' m outta Medtecs already. They probably dont think they need to do this unless the founder wants to sell his own shares for profits or they want to issue more shares for capital. Think their focus is more long term. Right now, they are trying to expand the business, improve their branding and establish a consistent dividend yield to long term shareholder.  The share price probably wont fly but if you are holding for long term, think this should be a good yielding stock in the future. Their net asset per share as at 31 Dec 20 is already close to S$0.50. If they can sustain the profits for 2021, then the share price will definately rise slowly. Yea, sentiment is bad, ppl need to see both profit and revenue growth. Dropping revenue is not a good sign.

This was attributed to improved economies of scale and higher proportion of sales of Medtecs-branded products and PPEs, the medical equipment supplier said in a regulatory filing on Monday (March 1). Earnings per share came in at 23.973 US cents for FY2020, up from 0.211 US cent for the preceding year. Revenue for the year to Dec 31, 20202, jumped to US$400.3 million, nearly six times the US$69 million a year earlier. This came on the back of a global surge in the demand for PPEs arising from the Covid-19 pandemic, which led to an increase in sales, Medtecs said. A final cash dividend of 4.18 US cents has been recommended for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2020, versus no dividend for the year-ago period. The date for this payment is to be announced, subject to approval by shareholders at the forthcoming general meeting, the company said. In another bourse filing, Medtecs noted that it has incorporated a subsidiary in the US with a paid-up capital of US$1,000 on Oct 19, 2020. The principal activities of Medtecs USA Corporation is in the manufacturing and supplying of PPE and healthcare products. Separately, Ms Yang Wan Chien, who is based in Taiwan, will be appointed as general counsel with effect from March 1.  Ms Yang, 40, is the daughter of executive chairman Clement Yang and non-executive chairman of Medtecs Taiwan Corp, Sherry Chen. She is also the sister of William Yang, who is deputy chairman, executive director and chief executive of the company. In November last year, Medtecs' shares climbed 12 per cent after it announced that it is eyeing a mainboard transfer on the Singapore Exchange.
