This echos what I have been saying ... The best option for the big founding shareholders to realize the value of their as shareholding is to find more oil in Oman, with Norway to supplement revenue, then become M&A target through takeover. Mid August will be good time for 1H21 release of results, when more countries start to open up/recover from Covid. By then, even 25 cents is cheap. As for those making noise about lower Rex prices, just tahan...they want you to sell so that they can buy when you throw down. Don't fall to their scare-mongering. Even oil price at $60/-, Rex already make significant profits.

Rex remains a great risk/reward story as cash flow from Oman ramps up in 1H21 and cash flow from Norway gets added in 2H21. As highlighted in our previous insight we think Rex currently trades anywhere between 1x to 2x pre-tax cash flows (depending on input variables such as oil price, days production, etc). The 1H21 results in mid-August 2021 should be a wake-up call to investors. Given the age of its principle shareholders Rex remains a prime M& A candidate at some point.

RH Petrogas, Rex direct beneficiaries of rising oil prices: UOB Kay Hian

UOB Kay Hian (UOBKH) on Tuesday named upstream oil producers RH Petrogas and Rex International as immediate beneficiaries of the renewed interest in the oil and gas sector.

This comes amid rising crude oil prices due to declining global oil inventories and better-than-expected global oil demand with the reopening of economies after pandemic-related lockdowns.

Sembcorp Marine, Keppel Corp, CSE Global and other offshore and marine players could also benefit from positive market sentiment, provided oil prices are on a structural upcycle and not based on spot oil prices, which fluctuate. An upcycle is a period or cycle where business activity is at a high point.

The worst could also be over for the offshore marine industry, supported by improving trends in rig utilisation and day rates, UOBKH said.

 Alert Admin 		I think we are too dependent on the US market.
DOW has gone from 30,000 to 34,000 in a relatively short time while the STI has remained stationary
(the STI has remained more or less stationary for 10 years or more, it is a joke)  .
Now the FED is talking about tightening (which they need to because there is too much money printing) and 
DOW is doing a reasonable correction and we are starting to tremble. smiley
