Hong Kong, July 07, 2020 -- Moody' s Investors Service (" Moody' s" ) has completed a periodic review of the ratings of Hutchison Port Holdings Trust and other ratings that are associated with the same analytical unit. The review was conducted through a portfolio review in which Moody' s reassessed the appropriateness of the ratings in the context of the relevant principal methodology(ies), recent developments, and a comparison of the financial and operating profile to similarly rated peers Hutchison Port Holdings Trust' s (HPHT) Baa1 issuer rating is underpinned by its (1) strong market position in China' s Pearl River Delta and in an industry with high barriers to entry (2) prudent cost control and debt-management policies (3) ownership of quality port assets in Hong Kong and Shenzhen and (4) sponsorship from CK Hutchison Holdings Limited (CKHH, A2 stable), which benefits HPHT' s liquidity. |

Again, as of closing 18 Sep, there are 3048K shortsold shares at 12.9 US cents. Next Monday will see the covering. Postive institutional buyers continue non-stop while desperate shortists continue shorting non-stop. I heard the rumour from my broker that privatization of HPH Trust is still on the wild card. Pls note that (Yantian Ports) Shenzhen ports remain the 3rd busiest port in the worldafter Shanghai and Singapore. Hong Kong ports are 7th busiest port. |

 Photo: SIPGContainer volume at eight major Chinese ports up 7.4% in early SeptemberContainer volume at eight major Chinese ports increased 7.4% year-on-year in early September, according to the data released by China Ports and Harbours Association.
The ports of Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen all posted a growth rate of over 10%. Cargo throughput of major coastal ports increased 9% year-on-year, and export cargo throughput increased 16.5% in early September. Crude oil shipments at major coastal ports increased 23.4% year-on-year, among which the port of Rizhao posted 155.6% growth rate. Metal ore shipments at major Chinese ports increased 18.8% year-on-year, among which Rizhao port reported a growth rate of 73.8%. Due to vessel delays caused by floods along Yangtze river last month, the local port operation resumption was slow in the period of early September. The cargo throughput at Nanjing port, Wuhan port and Chongqing port declined 10.4% year-on-year while the container volume increased 6%. |

DBS Equity Picks We believe shares of HPH Trust have seen their worst point and poise for a recovery on the back of lower finance costs and government subsidies as well as expectations of a stronger 2H as many countries start to relax social distancing measures. This led us to raise the FY20 and FY21F earnings by 40% and 18% respectively. This is the first time that we have raised earnings in four years. HPH Trust currently yields an attractive 11.3% (> +2SD of its 5-yr band). Furthermore, its debt repayment program will end in 2021 that could pave the way for higher dividends from 2022 onwards. The improving DPU outlook is a catalyst for share price to re-rate in the longer term. *******DBS bought shares of HPH TRUST******

Before pandemic HPHT price was 16+ US Cents， before STI removal was 20+ Cents ， before trade war was 40+ Cents.
Pandemic is going to be viewed as Game Over once Vaccine come in， Trade war will have different scenerio if the Mad Guy got booted out ！ 20c or 40are not remote probability.

Hope so! Even at US 20 cents, the dividend yield is abt 7%, and so still attractive. Up DPU in every 6 months cos there will be final settlement of US-China trade tension affecting china ports volume by 2021.
