OxPay Financial files police report against certain ex-employees for ' potential wrongdoings' in AGM
OXPAY Financial has lodged a police report against some former employees suspected of wrongdoing over the company' s annual general meeting (AGM) on Apr 28, 2021.
In a regulatory filing on Tuesday (Mar 15), OxPay said circulars to its shareholders on Jun 24, 2021 contained copies of written statements issued by controlling shareholder Ching Chiat Kwong, dated Jun 10 and Jun 18 last year.
The statements said that Ching had been apprised of matters which suggested and led him to believe that certain votes at the AGM " may have been manipulated" .
OxPay also referred to announcements it had made on Jun 14 and Jun 19 last year, which stated that the company' s independent directors would conduct investigations into allegations of wrongdoing or misconduct at the AGM, and would update the shareholders accordingly.
" The police have been requested to carry out thorough investigations into whether potential wrongdoings have been committed in connection with the 2021 AGM," said OxPay.
" The company will update its shareholders if it is informed of any material developments regarding the aforesaid matter."

the police report is about votes manipulation by former emplyees during last year agm. Following further internal investigations, the Company wishes to update that it has lodged a police report on 11 March 2022 in relation to the suspected involvement of certain former employees of the Group in potential wrongdoings in connection with the 2021 AGM. The police have been requested to carry out thorough investigations into whether potential wrongdoings have been committed in connection with the 2021 AGM. The Company will update its shareholders if it is informed of any material developments regarding the aforesaid matter. |
