DBS Group plans to boost assets under management for its wealth business to S$500 billion by the end of 2026, said the unit&rsquo s head, as the top Singaporean bank bets on robust inflows into the country. Wealth assets at DBS grew 23 per cent to a record S$365 billion last year, as Singapore benefitted from strong inflows of wealth into Asia due to its relative political stability, low taxes, and policies favourable for setting up family offices and trusts. DBS, South-east Asia&rsquo s largest lender by assets, banks more than a third of Singapore&rsquo s family offices. &ldquo I&rsquo m still growing ... the market is actually kind of at the cusp of a recovery because rates are peaking so as rates come down, markets pick up,&rdquo said DBS&rsquo group executive and group head of Consumer Banking Group and Wealth Management Shee Tse Koon. Referring to the plan for growing the bank&rsquo s wealth assets, Shee, who has worked at DBS for nearly eight years, told Reuters that he was fairly confident about meeting the target, barring any &ldquo black swan&rdquo event. DBS is also aiming to double the number of wealthy clients with assets worth at least S$1 million and above by end-2026, he said, adding the bank grew its affluent and high-net-worth clients by more than 50 per cent over the last two years. |

So quiet here...... Everything now point to at most one cut this year. May even be none at all. Is good for DBS (though myself think that one or two cuts this year will not really affect DBS' s performance). Patiently waiting for 1st half results coming in early Aug24. Should be good and we may see DPU go up again. |

Yes, expect India to contribute significantly in the coming 3 to 5 years. With hundreds of branches and capex required only 500m over a period of 3 to 5 years, a really good buy for DBS. |

Lol ... I wish too. I can agree on your points on dividends (that' s the reason I' m accumulating) and $40 target. But $45 is a stretch. For $45, DBS willl need solid and consistent growth outside of SG (India?).

When there' s no catalyst or change in fundamentals, its mostly technicals. And based on technicals, trading zone is now 35.24 - 36.11 so people and algo will buy/sell within this lower/upper range.

For DBS, I do suggest to just keep accumulating at whatever price because the trend is mega up till at least end 2025 and trying to second guess what is the exit and entry price is futile as you can see how jerky and volatile the price movement can be. My target is for 40 to break with 45 as the end 2025 target with dividends collected along the way . | ||||

No one know the lowest and highest. And I believed it should be they themselves left to right pocket. You can see pre-open price, they key in few hundred k share to buy and sell at $36.00. Why they don' t bring down to $35.3 instead ?

It took almost 2 years to break out of the resistance formed by the ascending triangle and TP has been reached. Further, weekly RSI is overbought with p/b ratio of 1.60, well above OCBC and UOB of 1.1x Major support is around $30 and conincides with the 50% Fib retracement at around $29.9x. Needs to retest $30 and bounce off it to prove its worth.
