x 0   x 1  Alert Admin	Will Temasek succeed in selling NOL?  Temasek was said to have put up its stake in NOL for sale at an asking price of US$4bn, or S$3 per NOL share.  CMA CGM had apparently bid at S$1.50, which is at a 11% premium to NOL&rsquo s book value of S$1.35 at end-3Q15. That bid was rejected by Temasek, but UASC may still be considering putting in a bid, which would clearly have to above S$1.50/share.  If Temasek succeeds in finding a buyer for NOL, it may lead to a MGO for the remaining NOL shares, or a big special dividend if APL is sold instead.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Our dear state own enterprise Temasek Holding don thing if they are not confident, clearly NOl got potential buyers out there but the price is the sticking point. As i mentioned earlier, NOL currently place importance on providing reliable service rather than maximise profit for investors. IF NOL changed hand, high chance they would dump current practise of reliability and go all out on maximise profit and they may give up the US military logistic suppliers too to avoid costly service. NOL is not a bad company, the bad thing is the top management who place importance on reliability over profit. Even Temasek holding cannot tahan APL management style and after review by their henchman ng decided to ditch the ship once and for all, releasing asset value to all share holders. There are buyers out there trying to buy NOL on the cheap side but rejected by TH due to higher asset value. I think when come to last, Japanese would come forward and take over NOL on the behest of their american master since the money is all printed lol.

Good indication of NOL sale nearer if share price suddenly spike up, if share price spike to NAV range, that meant a sale offer is imminent.

BTW, short selling last Fri = 28% ($884,532).  If the price reverses up, will be really hard to catch. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	BB know in advance the projected earning and planned in advanced. Today STi crashed 40+ in first 30 mins of trading. In fact of betting on NOL fall, try shorting the component index better short option. STi would test 2800 again, time for more trade . NOL just don touch touch, the divestment new popping soon according to timing from last 2 divestment. it subsidy programme in NOL business model, of course lose money and NOL only concerned about providing reliable and quality service to it customers rather than big profit for it owner. IT  cannot remain listed and TH would take of it and delist it. Enaging cititbank to act as broker for sale most likely would take somewat bewteen 3-6 months, most likely they already got potential buyers in list but could not agreed on price. Need more time for negiotiating and share price had to remain rangebound to fetch a better price and investor acceptance.

So basically russian, chinese buyers are out of the list and in asia, american allies are Singapore, Taiwan, Japan mainly. Japan is the most likely buyer since they got easy access to cheap credit and they depend heavily on US for defence. Singapore through NOL had serve US interest in region for more than 15 years and billions of dollar spent to subsidy US/Japan exporters. NOL sale not driven by commercial interest, it more of political and miltary interest. Time to pass the subsidy programme to japan since they benefit the most from TPP and it wouldserve US best interest if they take over APL. don be surprised if nol sale fetch a higher price than it market capitisation, the asset value currently more than double it share capitalisation. Hope NOL can clarify the sale proceed as soon as possbile.

But hehe noone wanna to be involved in container shipping currently due to low global growth, soon TH had to bite the bullet and privatise NOL. NOL would be goner for 4Q15 too not just 1Q16 but TH most likely would rush in and bail out the CPF investors just like what they did for Olam. U cannot believe how many billions they throw into Olam to shield it from short seller. NOL is more of providing cover for most of it US/Japan major customers and TPP facilitation. NOL is no longer a stock that provide value to it investors, it a international subsidies program for US/Japan and Singapore gona serve it up to the US/Japan master. Don trade NOL for now , shit don behave like what a stock should behave basically it not a stock any more lol.
