Even if you are eventually right (in the long run), timing is very very important as you may get killed in the short run. Recognize when to cut loss and move on. Should I cut loss now? Depends on 1. How BWL refutes the allegations (read every word carefully) 2. Q1 earnings (management discussion more important than financials at this stage) 3. PWC report (less important). If management screws up and you' re not satisfied with the answer, faster sell to cut loss.. there are many other opportunities out there.. esp in US markets. Share prices, especially those that are high on momentum(often overvalued) are determined by their potential earnings. If you see it' s potential earnings and profit cut by 2/3, it would not be surprising to see their share price drop by 50%. You can have a billion dollar company but if their profit drop by 50%, they also suffer similar. For BWI, this may result in a delay in their results announcement. It is not very clear at the moment how BWI will be affected should its activities in China deemed MLM and hence illegal. Even if the goods are not confiscated, the inventory value and accounts receivable may become questionable. So is the cash that is in China. I will be worried if the CFO or some ID started to " spend more time with their family" or " pursue some other interests" .

Their main problem now is whether their business in China will continue to exist after this expose by Bonitas. MLM model is banned in China and BW can say all they want - it is clear that they' re doing MLM in China from all the information that has been leaked. I believe the chinese authorities will not take this lightly and will clamp down on their business very soon. All operations could cease and goods could be confiscated. If that happens, their china biz is as good as down the drain. And the fact that they do not have any answers after so many days just doesn' t bode well.
