SYDNEY, Aug 26 (Reuters) - Qantas Airways Ltd  (QAN.AX)  on Thursday said it was preparing for international travel with countries with high vaccine rates to resume in December, sending shares higher, as it reported a narrower annual loss of A$1.73 billion ($1.26 billion).

The airline, which grounded its international fleet in March 2020 due to closed borders, said it planned to bring back five of its 12 Airbus SE  (AIR.PA)  A380 super-jumbos from mid-2022 to fly to the United States and Britain, a year earlier than previously forecast.

the real cheong is when better 3rd quarter results trickle in together with more borders opening.
i stand by at 5.03 and in  1 to 2yrs time profits should be solid  😊 .

with usa limiting chinese carrier to 40% capacity. fare is sky rocketing.

SIA will benefit eventually. Even it doesn' t, TH will continue to pump money to let it run. SIA will never fail or cannot fail under the cuurent govt.

how many likely would travel to germany and brunei and vice versa? Germany has luftthansa, aviation fuel getting expensive, perhaps wont even breakeven with limited passengers flying. Having SIA planes flying does not translate to more profit but just make enough to pay the pilots and stewards/stewardesses hopefully with the right numbers of passengers. 
not to forget, those intending to travel must think of the risk in contracting the virus and worse scenario losing own lives just to meet in person or visit the business offices or venues of interest instead of via zoo

 Alert Admin 		Im indeed very surprise that SIA din cheong with some many places openning up now or soon, unkike previously announced that HK-SGD possible open travel bubble and SIA cheong then to 5.36 but no this time when some many countries joining, very funny...instead SIA dropped these few days, wat is happening?
