Problem is Q2 is likely to be another round of losses. look at the dmf prices and you will see why: Far cry from the heady 16-17k dmf price days when jiutian price was hovering at 0.095-0.115 levels. Hence no more supply deficit, coupled with a softening demand as china is facing shrinking population for the first time in years In fact all chemicals are beaten down as China govt intends to become self sufficient to avoid reliance on US. This means the oversupply situation should be persistent until demand comes back.

However, giving reasonably generous dividends is better than keeping cash in hand, paying pittance as dividends, letting the share price languish with no trade and then privatize for peanuts. They are better than many so called  blue chip cash rich counters which have cared a hoot for shareholders when paying dividend or taking the company private Jiyaji      ( Date: 19-Apr-2023 08:21) Posted: Based on the FS, cash holdings and subsequent info - expect ~0.006 dividend in June. They have usually been generous with didivend as % of share price (which is stuck on a hamster wheel). No reason not to expect a reasonble payout this time as well.
