Between Mar 17 and 23, Oxley Holdings Oxley : 5UX +1.71% deputy CEO & executive director Eric Low See Ching acquired 100,000 shares of the company at an average price of 17.3 cents per share. He maintains a 28.12 per cent direct stake in the home-grown property developer.
 
Low is responsible for the operations of the group including sales and marketing, project development, business development and financial management, and assists the CEO in charting and executing strategic plans.
 
Low also acquired 39,000 shares of Hafary Holdings on Mar 24 at 18.5 cents per share. He serves as a non-independent non-executive director of Hafary Holdings while maintaining a 25.36 per cent interest in the company.

With a consideration of S$45,668 this increased his direct stake in the home-grown property developer to 28.12 per cent.

Oxley H1 FY22 net profit edges up 3%
Property developer Oxley Holdings posted a net profit of S$23.5 million for the six months ended Dec 31, 2021, up by 3 per cent year-on-year.
 
Revenue for H1 FY2022 was 13 per cent lower at S$506.4 million on the back of lower revenue contribution from Royal Wharf project in the United Kingdom, partially offset by higher revenue from the development projects in Singapore and sale of land parcels in Australia.
 
Earnings per share worked out to 0.55 Singapore cent, compared with 0.54 cent a year ago.
 
Net profit after tax was 18 per cent lower at S$23.4 million on the back of lower revenue and gross profit, partially offset by absence of a loss from discontinued operations of S$14.9 million in H1 FY2021.
 
As at Jan 25, 2022, the group had total unbilled contract value of about S$1.8 billion, of which some S$1.5 billion was attributable to projects in Singapore.
 
About 97 per cent of the group' s Singapore residential units has been sold, representing 96 per cent of the total gross development value (GDV) or about S$4.7 billion. Oxley said that it plans to sell the remaining 110 units, or 3 per cent of the portfolio, by end 2022 and complete construction of all the Singapore development projects progressively by early 2023.
 
Touching on the latest property cooling measures rolled out in Singapore, Oxley highlighted that its current exposure to the Singapore residential market is not significant. In addition, " the remaining units are in the mid-mass market segment which is attractive to the first-time buyers," it added.
 
Meanwhile, the group intends to focus its property development activities in developed countries that generate relatively higher profit margin, such as its Riverscape project (formerly known as Deanston Wharf) in the United Kingdom and Connolly Station project in Ireland.

Although I do not like the management but according to some fellow friends & developers, Oxleys is being shrewed and taking advantages of others in most of their lawsuits.  Therefore nothing to worry about their lawsuits. More importantly is how they support its shares and retail shareholders.

thats the thing... they had to subpoena ching to testify and provide the figures.  if you read through the case, its mentioned that oxley gave all the buyers a guaranteed rental return % between 3 and 10 years. its there in the case. correct me if im wrong, if your product is damn good, you def dont need to guarantee 10 year rental returns ... (para 130) on top of that, if you continue reading para 131 ... it says that oxley gave the investors their 50% profit without requiring them to participate in the rental guarantee scheme. which means despite oxley having 50% stake in this project, they were guaranteeing 100% of the rental guarantee themselves ... which is very surprising .... projects that sell well (or sell themselves) dont need gimmicks, or worse, for the developer to shoulder the entire burden for 10 years ... thats my 2 cents on this case. please do your own DD

This further testifies my assessment that Oxley holdings is making tons of money, particularly in their overseas projects. However where is the money ????? In this particular case, it is a venture between friends and individual partners, hence Profits can not hide. What about those that is purely Oxley Holdings ?

Bro, this is an issues between 3-4 investors/friends and had nothing to do with Oxley Holdings. Oxley Holdings was sought by them to do the development of the project and duly completed and also make its share of $140M profits out of it. It just showed that Oxley Holdings is well sought after by Singaporeans as well as foreigners for Overseas Development projects. This court case is positive for Oxley Holdings
