$11b contract won is listed in Q1 2024 but was released 2 days ago.... " positive surprise" Interestingly Citi has been shorting this counter .... now Citi Research analyst Luis Hilado upgraded the stock to a buy rating from sell, saying that the contract win is a " positive surprise" that helps Seatrium' s long-term revenue outlook. He raised his order book win assumptions for fiscal year 2024 to S$15 billion from S$9 billion. Agreed trade with caution .... Mark my calendar |

Right. The price will likely stay at current level +/-, but my view is that chances of inching upwards is higher cos of the expected upcoming positive results. Shortselling volume will not be as big as before after the conso and the big contract awards. If there are more contract awards and also SBB by mgmt, they may be caught off guard. Institutional buying will eventually return to buy this stock as its' still on STI index. Once the company shows profits, it will highly likely return to MCSI as well. Current price is good for accumulation as the price will increase gradually over time and by the time you realise and want to buy, it could have gone up by 20-30% already. Fund managers would have been ahead of us in their buying.
