While robust coal demand and high prices are helping to prop up companies& rsquo earnings now, some coal producers are already taking steps to diversify their business and revenue streams. 

GOLDEN Energy and Resources' (Gear) move to restructure or exit the thermal coal industry could be a sign of things to come, as the industry battles challenges such as banks halting the funding of coal companies and an increasing global focus on environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors.

Market watchers polled by    The Business Times  reckon the impact of banks ceasing funding for coal projects is likely to be severe, and financing for coal is becoming increasingly difficult.

 Alert Admin 		Tink konsi cannot SBB even if wanto, cos got blackout period la.
That' s y shorties takng advant, whack contras like no 2molo, for BBs collec for otw result in 2 days orso. exp 3-4c div for 3Q. Like some say, Geo got no reason to fall, cos got a huge cash reserve, but follo big brother Golden steep fall. Good for deep pockets to collec til 4Q which gave 5c div. las yr.
Golden got worse cos coy cannot SBB, shorties whack and wac, oso coy don give div, maybe got to use it for debt or wat, some in finance maybe can explain better. Anyway local mkt control by manipulators, not investors la.

Can see many of the contras and retailers cutting lost,
But as I advice yesterday this one for Long term till Next year April.
Company buy back shares at around 35.5 ~ 37c range at 30th Sept.
See whether they will do the same later or tomorrow.

 Alert Admin 		With the 3Q results likely 2 or 3 days away, Geo' s rising share price momentum has been unfortunately affected by the highly speculative downplay of Golden Energy.  Hopefully, it will recover its momentum quickly.  With the speculation of thermal coal businesses changing hands, Geo may have silently invited tycoon investors (just wondering why CEO has to retire, by end of this year???).  Looking forward to the consistently good results, dividends and business update announcements!

gear up never follow, gear down follow closely.
something is wrong with gear, otherwise won' t drop so much.
pity i slow, didn' t short gear when it was at 80 cents. sad!
