How can you say worse than you thought? You thought it would be US$12M loss, but turn out to be US$55.7M profit. Sure the production volume was down, but it could be they are now aiming for profit instead of volume, so only sold to those who could accept higher price. Possible, right?

Kris fared worse than I thought. Wassana field produdtion dropped from 5.5kbopd to 5.0kbopd. Nong Yao field production dropped from 9.5kbopd to 8.3kbopd But average selling price went up to US$47 and lifting cost dropped to US$10 is a good sign. Expect smaller increase in price from now. Those who are vested in KRIS, dont expect too much this years. When they sort out those problematic wells in Wassana and new wells in Nong yao coming online then may see better days. Lastly, for KRIS, like many other oil producers, ops cash flow (before any exception items) is more important than profit. Not too bad for this Q.

profitable? Other income is 77.5m, relating to FV bond gains which will be reversed. Excluding that, operationally, they are making more losses than last year, even at higher oil realization price of 46 bucks vs last year at 20bucks. Plus wassana continues to have problems, meaning lifting costs will increase.

Many people expect Kris will report good result. If not, pls prepare for bloody stock trading. All sharks like to rush in when they smell the blood. Market has no mercy. Kris sell & buy queue volume is very thin so be careful when the knife falls you can get hurt quite badly. I already warn you. You just need to prepare hor. |
