Good morning dear bro, yes may be boring on a day to day basis but certainly rewarding over months.
A Keppel share at end 2021 & end 2022 were $5.12 & $7.26 respectively despite Covid, Ukraine war, USA-China strained relationship etc.
Yesterday a Keppel share plus 19.08 SCM share is worth $7.52.
So how can Keppel shares be not moving leh?

I agree w you and will wait it out ....just the legacy rigs ...I think it will be a profitable sale when demands arrived. Not forgetting even the 5% SM Kep kept. It clean energy will be on good growth path .. more to come Dyodd

My take on oil & gas is that it will take a long time for it to be displaced! As we are talking China found big reserve at the Bohai region, I give it at least 10 years for a change to green energy! On Keppel it is already transforming its capabilities to renewable energy, with the like of SembMarine and kom, I am in no hurry to take profit! Look a coal energy companies, they are not dying yet!! In fact doing very well! | ||||

Keppel Land To Divest Myanmar Hotel Project For US$57.4 Million
" Keppel Land and its subsidiary Double Peak Holdings are divesting their 100 per cent stake in Greenfield Development for US$57.4 million in cash.
Greenfield Development wholly owns Straits Greenfield, which has the right to build and operate a hotel in Myanmar."
Look like Kep Corp is really drivng up the capital monetisation program ...$5B is definately coming up much earlier. |

No issue ...no reference to you .Certainly u are free to ask in a forum like this and we can learn from each other. Offshore should be reference to business oversea.....Kepland ( if that is what yu refer to ) ...hv business in China , vietnam etc. W China opening again , I think their property are back in demand ( hard to find good quality houses in CHina ..like those build by Kepland n Capitaland) Vietnam is also doing well . IN fact, I think 2023 will be a good year for Kep ..of course barring any major factor like a bigger war . Dyodd

Keppel Corp &ndash BUY (Adrian Loh) &bull KEP reported slightly weaker-than-expected profit for 2022 largely as a result of its exposure to the China property market as well as losses on investments and lower disposal gains. Its dividend of S$0.33 was slightly better than expected. With the divestment of KOM around the corner and all other business segments performing well operationally, 2023 will be a transformative year for KEP. &bull Operationally a solid year in 2022. Apart from the difficulties seen in the operating environment in China, we view KEP as having had a solid year overall with Keppel Infrastructure&rsquo s earnings more than doubling yoy, its asset management business continuing to report higher fee income, while M1 and its data centre businesses also saw better performance on a yoy basis. &bull We retain our BUY rating on KEP with pro forma SOTP-based target price of S$9.09. With the exit of its KOM segment, the company is moving towards a more asset- light and recurring earnings business model, with an achievable 15% ROE target in the medium term in our view (2022 ROE: 8.1%). Of interest will be whether KEP upgrades its asset monetisation target given that it is on track to exceed its S$5.0b target by end-23. If so, we believe that this is could bolster earnings in 2023 and into 2024. Share Price Catalysts

Hopefully Keppel Corp will choose to go for Rights Issues for working capital & reboot it's China development projects, instead of going to DBS for additional borrowings as this will cost us more due to high interest rate | ||||
