x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Hi all, relatively new to trading and have the following to ask about the upcoming Rights Issue. I shorted at the price of 6.17, before market halted with 500 shares on CFD. So any price that it falls to now before rights issue is straightforward, but what will happen after Rights Issue? Will it be right to calculate the following? Say after Rights Issue, price per share drops to $5. My current short will earn the delta from $6.17 to $5. Due to the Rights Issue, I will have to pick up the 3:2 shares, and will be picking up the position of shorting these shares at $3 (750 shares). For these 750 shares, I will have to pay the delta from $5 to $3. So given the price of $5 after rights issue, I would end up with a massive loss and should close the short position before Rights Issue? $5 dollar is theoretical, and given that it miraculously held $6 currently, I' m looking at a worse case.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Not to pour cold water.... if you notice recent rights in the mkt over the last years... many times share price go below rights price before ex causing underwriter to makan all... in this instance they may just adjust the rights downwards if necessary... buyers now just beware... I ll buy SATS to SIA anytime under current climate.... easy sip starbug....huat ah!! Happy trading folks.
