x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Locally, 5, 10 years ago a lot of the Big Companies listed have solid fundamental, how are they faring now? There are plenty of examples. Luzern      ( Date: 31-May-2019 09:50) Posted: Escalating Trade Wars and significant China' s exposure.  Won' t this affect the Fundatmental of DBS?  The local oil, gas & marine fallout a few years back shave significant percebtages of our local Bank' s share price.  What will the impact be if there is a fallout in China?    I am not saying that our banks will fail (at least not in the foreseeable future), but a lot of Global Big Names Company around the world that failed also used to have good Fundamental, that is until, they go belly-up. IMO, DYODD.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	share buyback is strategic.. so no worries when DBS buy back their shares regular.. share buyback reduce the shares in the market or use to pay CEO or whoever as bonuses are not bad things actually.. even give opportunity for funds to unload also good for some of our portfolios that also have banks in their portfolio.. money goes around.. only issus is it go into or pass by whose pockets.. happy investing..

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	U speak the very right word FUNDAMENTAL .  DBS is a stock ( like our other banks ) which has a STRONG fundamental which many other oversea backs envy ..... Look at the book value of all 3 banks .  Look at their nett income. ( OVer $5B for DBS even in a storm I can say ) Its not just the dividend ....its an opportunity for collection . Their decision is rather rigid.  If they are a little bit more flexible and sensitive to the current world developments, they could stretch their money more in their share buy back.  Same thing like I said about 10 months ago.  " why buy back now when you can buy back cheaper later?"   & " Is there no better use for the Million$ you spend on share buy back elsewhere?" . Collected so many years of dividend (and from 2018 even bagus...  yield about 8%, that are far higher than the interst rates provided by CPF )..... Zin Wu Hua! and mother hens can just leave them for my kids.    If you buy now, yield 4.88% still considered as Wu Hua, this is better than what similar financial products in the market offer. (Provided that you are debt-free hor.)
