I guess you are a newbie like me. Don' t ever play contra, you only have 3 days limit, very very risky. It is like gambling. If you really want to trade & shortsell, open a CFD account. If you want to go long, use margin but limit to 2x or perhaps don' t use margin, in my opinions. CFD requires you to monitor daily and do a lot of research. And I think the pro traders will have a lot of tools, strategies, and insider news to trade CFD profitably, they have an advantage edge definitely or they even have a team to push the prices the way they want. With very high leverage, it is very very very risky for amateurs.

evil indeed! yep shortists definitely prevailed yesterday with a 11% drop in price. For me i am kinda stuck as i contraed 25k lots early ytd morning thinking the sell down was temporal.. little did i know i was in for a surprise :D I have till thursday to hope for improvement , though i am quite sure i have just burnt a few k.. oh well, you win some you lose some. |

I read somewhere that people are more sensitive to " Sell" rating than to " Buy" rating. Anyway, shortsellers will use the report as a mean so that they can shortsell and make quick bucks fast. They shortsell from 9-9.15am and possible another round in the afternoon. There is quite as sure win for them yesterday. In fact, we should join to short the stocks to share profits -.- Anyway, the CIMB analyst is kind of evil. He was the want to put Buy rating with unbelievable high target price $1.40. Then he is the same one to put the Sell rating suddenly low $0.69, just a month apart. I think in Wall Street, CIMB will sure lose reputation for such practices. The future of this stock in next few weeks is not known but defend yourself and maybe next time follow the trend is a smart way to go I guess.

what makes u think it will rebound though? i am abit shocked that a single analyst report can cause such a sell down.. since when do analyst reports matter that much?! analyst report for Japfa has been > $1 for months but it just remained around 0.8.. the moment 1 negative report is released about changing opinion from ' BUY' to ' REDUCE' , there is a massive sell down. it' s almost like the iceberg vs noble saga.. something feels abit dodgy. |

have a feeling it will rebound in upcoming days but not by much - maybe mid to high 0.7. Not much meat left for shortists. |

If shortsellers succeed, day change -4% to -6% If shortsellers fail, day change -1% to +5% I predict after today, day changes for next 3 days will be quite flat. Any bros think the same? |

This stock price is very volatile. I think to buy or sell depend on whether you invest in long term or trade short term. Whether you have a cut loss / take profit system, etc. Whether you use leverage. Why do you enter a position, and why do you close a position. If you don' t have such practice, then sure will burn by the BBs and the brokers. Anyway, brokers sure earn a lot by releasing contradicting reports from time to time. For example, when they want to bull, they will say P/E is way below peers' . When they want to bear, they will say P/E is quite high compared to its own historical P/E.

dosent make sense to me. Japfa traditionally shows the best results during 1Q.. and their 1Q is coming up in about 1.5 weeks time. perhaps some big player(s) is/are pushing price down to accumulate just before 1Q? i wouldnt be surprised tbh so many counters in SGX are prone to this type of manipulation. |

I guess because of the CIMB research analyst' s report, released last Thursday. The same guy who set target price $1.4 in March, now set target price $0.69. He play play, we pay pay?
