It is a leading bakery chain, which has restaurants and cafes also figuring in its portfolio. Current valuations of BreadTalk are below peers with a forward consensus P/E of 15.6x against 16.5x. All Malaysia and Singapore sti drops plus many singapore shares drops but breadtalk remain consistent at 0.77 for five days.... Long term investor must have recognize breadtalk as good long term shares. Breadtalk business is well diversified into other Asian countries too... :) I believe this can be a factor why the share had surge to 0.89 recently...:)

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Bread Talk profit has been hit very hard by government labor policy and high rental. Running such a big organization, their Yr 2012 profit is only 13 million. Most construction company like HockLianSeng, TA corp etc have better profit, better dividend and priced much much cheaper than BT. NTA of BT is only 29.4 cents, we need to be wary recent spike in their trading price, high possibility of placement or right issue. Cost pressures associated with food and raw materials saw gross margin fall to its lowest point since listing while higher staff and rental expenses depressed operating margins further. With BTG still focused on expanding its regional footprint, we expect margin pressures and low dividend payouts to persist, and revised our FY13 estimates downwards, which lowers house valuation from $0.51 previously to $0.49. Given BTG’s recent 7.1% appreciation since mid-Aug, the counter has emerged as expensive especially in the absence of a compelling near-term catalyst. House urge investors to take the opportunity to lock in profits at current levels, and re-enter when the price moderates lower.
