x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	This is old news in Tradewinds dtd. 3 dec but holds some interesting info. Firstly is says S2.2 bn. In international magazine such as this it always refers to US$.. And if you read carefully it certainly refers to the 67% held. This works out to be 1,30 usd$ or 1.80 S$ per share. I hope I' m right here. What do you guys think? // French container line CMA CGM is said to have firm commitments from banks for the money it needs to take over Singapore rival NOL. Reuters cited two sources familiar with the deal as saying lenders include HSBC, BNP Paribas and JPMorgan. The shipowner is in exclusive talks to buy nearly 67% of the Singapore company from state holding firm Temasek. It has until 7 December to tie up the deal for NOL, which is valued at $2.2bn. A successful outcome would trigger an offer for the rest of the company, which operates the APL line. One of the sources said potential synergies from the merger were significant and would justify the relatively high acquisition cost. CMA CGM, NOL, Temasek and the banks were not commenting. Boutique firm Messier Maris & Associes is said to be advising CMA CGM, while Citigroup is advising NOL. A deal would take the combined company closer in capacity terms to the top two lines in the world: Maersk Line and MSC.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Nol previously rejected the bid of $1.50, now $1.30 offer!!...lol..I believed many forumers would take the $1.30 offer. Imagine the price plummet if NOL rejected the offer ...everything starts frm square 1 again....more downside risks than gains.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	They thought that since NOL is SO SO desperate, as the saying goes " begger is no chooser" and thinking that NOL is so hard up to sell, they are just simply trying their luck and there is nothing to lose if they do not get it.  NOL is used to a shining star, is getting from bad to worse year after year for far too long until they are now thinking of  abandoning the " ship" . Really sad..

So last week the warnings given by ex NOL ceo is well timed, he got inside knowledge CMA gona made cheap offer so he act first lol.
