Seatrium has been awarded a letter of intent (LOI) by BP Exploration & Production (BP) to conduct &ldquo certain early engineering works&rdquo . This is pending the finalisation of a definitive contract for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPC) work for BP&rsquo s Kaskida floating production unit (FPU) project in the US Gulf of Mexico. The project is a greenfield development that&rsquo s located some 250 miles southwest of New Orleans in the Keathley Canyon area of the Gulf of Mexico. The Kaskida FPU comprises a single topside module supported by a four-column semi-submersible hull. It is supported by subsea production wells located in a water depth of some 6,000 feet. The contract award is subject to mutually agreed terms and conditions, approval from management, as well as the final investment decision by BP. |

Building on a previous partnership established in 2022, which included 5G connectivity in one of the pilot yards and the deployment of 5G use cases in Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Smart Glasses solutions at the pilot yard in Singapore, this collaboration aims to leverage digitalisation and virtual technology to enhance the efficiency of remote operations for Seatrium?s tech-enabled workforce. In addition to 5G exploration, the collaboration may also extend into other M1 enterprise services and industry solutions including IoT applications, surveillance, and cyber security to support Seatrium?s operational needs. Not likely to lift off anytime soon. Might have a mini lift off in AUGUST when report returning to profitability and good cash flow. But big lift off likely only NEXT FEB with a good full year results, dividend announcement and more share buy back.

Any chance Seatrium does so well in the next few years that MSCI reverses its decision and reinstate it back? Any precedent? Now is for Seatrium to prove its worth first realise all contracts timely, prevent cost overrun, ensure cashflow positive and give out even small token of divvy to show they have REAL cash and not BS snake oil sales pitch. Vested in the long haul & willing to let it brew for 13 years to sync with my CPF Life. |
