The amounts payable by Stanmore on completion of the Acquisition were funded by Stanmore&rsquo s cash reserves following its successful pro-rata entitlement offer in March 2022 and Stanmore and its subsidiaries fully drawing down the debt facilities including the US$625 million acquisition debt facility (refer to announcement dated 7 January 2022). Full funding is in place for the purchase consideration as well as for a completion adjustment of approximately US$200 million for working capital as a result of higher BMC working capital balances acquired at completion driven primarily by stronger market conditions, which should translate into a healthier balance sheet and cash position at BMC post completion than envisaged by Stanmore when the sale agreement was signed. | ||

Golden Energy price is pathetically unvalued listed in SGX, just looks at its Aust listed subsidiary(Stanmore Resources) continues to break another record to A$255 today. Since 1st Mar-3rd May today it has raisen from A$1.09 - A$2.50, more then 133%. On the positive side, perhaps this gives value investors a great opportunity to buy n accumulate cheaply. Those who can hold shall be rewarded becoz the worldwide shortage of coal is real. The coming FED rate hike n high inflation should be favourable to current coal mines companies. There r be less borrowed funds to invest in new coa minesl, n couples with ESG issue big finance instituations r pressured not to fund new coal mining projects. Current worldwide coal crisis is aggravated by lack investment after the Paris Environmental Agreemen (COP 21 in Paris) on Dec 2015. The renewable energy is too expensive for many developing countries, n couldn' t replace this cheap coal. Such a big n priced acquisttion of 80% BHP(BMC) at such a time where worldwide demand on Therm/Met coals r very critical for both country economy n Energy will definitely attract many instittutional investors. This GEAR would very likely be the center of attraction for analysts to revisit their target price for their Clients.. The noises ESG issue aside, at the end is about real profit! | ||

Sorry i made an error in my earlier calculation. Golden energy holds 64% in Stanmore and 62.5% in PT GEM. Below is the corrected computation Stanmore share price of $2.31 now means their market cap is A$2082m. Aus dollar is rougly same as Sing$. Golden energy holds 64% of Stanmore, so this means it owns 64% x $2082m = $1332m.of Stanmore. Golden' s current shares outstanding is 2640m. So Golden share of Stanmore is 1332/2640 = $0.505 per share. Based on the current price of $0.65, it means what Golden holds in PT Golden Energy Mines and Ravenwood goldmine is only worth about $0.145??? |

If you see and believe the value of GEAR, then quietly accumulate. If the market agrees with your valuation then good for you - that's value investment.
Personally I see value in GEAR too and I am invested. The share price should go up to reflect the value. May take time for real participants to come in. Meantime don't be confused by the daily price movements. Coal demand a d price are solidly supported over the next 2 to 3 years, so no hurry.
