In light of that, is there undue optimism? DBS Vickers does not think so. Citing valuation gap and stronger earnings growth against large caps, the research house sees “small caps having more legs to run and would continue to beat the STI, which consensus expects to have less than 10 percent return”. The companies which received DBS Vickers’ vote were those with external growth, proxies to a rebound in China’s consumption and investment as well as the oil and gas sector.

Since result released on 27 Nov 12, there were 5 days where trading vol exceed 5mil, never happen before in the last 2 years at least.

Perhaps the price is now low, attractive enough to result in such interest…

This should indicate a better performance in 2013…
