Yes and no. Yes - as IQOS and PM has been much more of a law abiding player when it comes to getting the proper FDA approval and low-key roll-out as opposed to the aggressive tactics employed by the likes of JUUL, who is extremely susceptible to further legal troubles given the way they target under-age vapers. So in theory, the current vaping crisis and legal saga plaguing the likes of JUUL and even the black market OEM makers largely should not apply to PM and IQOS. No - however, most of the time people view vaping and e-cig in the same category and often you find even journalist and newspaper use the two terms interchangebly. So unless people are willing to put in the work to understand the differences, whenever the negative headline re vaping hits, it inevitably effect the e-cig makers as well. What is interesting imo is that both PM and ILMN (apparently 2 of the larger customers of venture) has done really well when it comes to company performances and their respective share prices, which is stark contrast to venture. Perhaps a reflection of the bearish sentiment for SG counters in general and the lack of liquidity given the small market size. Simply put, there just isn' t much institutional buying yet into the hidden gem called Venture!

One question. Actually, banning the vape is benefit to Venture, right? Since vape is a strong competitor to IQOS and Venture does not produce any vape like Juul. | ||||
