x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Most (maybe even all) Value Stocks in SGX are shunned precisely because the free-float is small and they' re super stingy with their dividends. Some examples ------ Ho Bee Land, Tuan Sing. There are broadly 2 categories of retail investors in SG: 1. Traders ---- includes Gamblers/Shortists/Speculators. 2. Dividend investors. Those in Cat 1 are not interested in these Value Stocks bcos these companies have very small float to trade and they' re boring companies without earth-shattering news that allow traders to make quick big bucks. Those in Cat 2 are also not interested bcos there are so many other stocks (esp. Reits/Trusts) in SGX that pay High Dividends. So, these shunned Value Stocks lie in a corner collecting cobwebs. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	If those vested can hold-on for awhile longer (obviously the dividend-yield vs FD rates a no-brainer), even though they may not be long-term invester ..... it will keep and kill-off the shorts ..... abt 2.16m shares yesterday. Concurrently UMS should concurrently host (virtual or whatever) roadshows for fund-managers (to entice and attract them to invest) in addition to usual brokerage-houses, to enlarge the pool of investors which will be win-win-win for all ... UMS, retail investor and institutions ...... and will be reflected in share-price eventually.
