x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	nqing87      ( Date: 09-May-2019 16:15) Posted: that is also the reason why our blue chips are highly value compare to smaller caps counter, even though the yields of blue chips are not high and their earnings can be unstable.. in singapore, a lot of our common folks will invest in blue chips as they are deemed stable and branded.. lots of smaller counters that have solid fundamentals are therefore neglected and trading at low p/e with higher dividends.. few of the strong small counters (eg challenger) had taken advantage of the low valuation given and wanted to delist.. as long as such lack of confidence in our stock exchange continues, we will expect eroding shareholder value in lots of small counters, and lots of small counters will start to take advantage of retailers and delist cheaply.. sgx has to do more to encourage analysts to cover more on smaller reliable counters to ensure that our exchange doesnt turn into a STI only mickey mouse exchange, and ensure that the smaller counters that are listed here does not commit hanky panky..
