x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Non cash items like depreciation. Its CAPEX and allocated to expenses over time. CAPEX affects DPU right? Deferred tax assets / liability it affects cash when its eventually realised right? That why financial standards are based on accrual basis and not cash accounting. Its all about timing and accrual, though not perfect, attempts to take into account of all these non cash but nevertheless impactful to company performance in financial sttms I totally disagree with u and i doubt your understanding of financials. And you belong to grp of retailers who are easily cheated by companies who like to give overly optimistic forward looking statements.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I am afraid that you have got a wrong idea of what i am saying about DPU. In general, EPU is not practicable to look at. Like REITS, analysts usually rated based on dividend yield whether it is attractive based on DPU and also price/NTA. For the purpose of DPU, I refered to distribution statement rather than cash flow statement. Yes, earnings determinate distribution, but for many years, earning is usually less than distribution, and so earning plus non-cash items adjustments = distribution. You need to go through many previous years' distribution statements. E.g depreciation expenses $130M per year is non-cash item and it is included in DPU as part of captial nature so it is tax-exempt. uiop1223      ( Date: 08-Oct-2020 21:47) Posted: OMG. US is the biggest importers from China, don' t think they will switch to somewhere more expensive given the current situation.
