Logically, all holders will tender 100% of their holdings. Why? because the offer is so much higher than the market price. Can always buy back from the market those successful buy-backs at a lower price. Unless the holder is unaware of the EAO, or forgotten about it. Anyway, I will not replenish whatever is successfully  sold back.

Equal Access Offer is now closed. Results of allotment will be due on Wednesday 11 January, time, not sure. Many are holding back, because they do not know how many shares are alloted for EAO. After results are known, many would likely head for the Sell queue. Brace yourselves, holders. Of course I certainly hope I' m wrong. btw, how many lots do you guys tendered? I tendered all of 100 lots I' m holding. |

Ah..at least I see some well-balanced talk here. DeClout IPO was in 2012, if I remembered correctly, and it went thru' one round of rights issue. Look at it this way, while we accept not all newly companies will be profitable, what we hate most is when those companies that are doing well and refusing to return to shareholders. When they need money, we subscribe the rights. Now, they are giving us back 3.4%??  Of course it' s understandable that shareholders, regardless how small they are will become angry. Management couldn' t see this? I guess they are simply ignorant about this.

Exactly like the " show us the money" questions today were thrown at the management too. tbh, first and foremost they are a growth company, if anything, returns won' t happen anytime soon. But I do feel their expectations and especially retail shareholders expectations are quite mismatch. The management side hopes investors sticks with them, watch the company grow and reap the fruits of labour at the end of the road. The retail investors side goes why is management complicating things, is the major shareholders benefiting off retail investors and demand dividends/share buyback from market etc... I feel if the expectations is mismatched, perhaps a decent small-mid cap dividend paying company will be more suitable for your portfolio. Anyway as long as a company is now net cash, better bargaining chips to get loan and do many things for the good of the company with a good management compare to one that is in debt.

Something new, or did I read correctly? Holding the company shares means you trust the management? Oh please, grow some sense. In any AGM, or EGM every single shareholder must be very happy, sit down quietly and clap along? And what makes you think I' m not planning my exit? So, you think the best way to do it is to cut off my nose to spite the face? And in case you are still doubtful, there' s nothing wrong to voice our displeasure about certain issues within the company. This is what an open forum should be. If you only want to see all the good stuffs, go read Playboy. Nobody is stopping you from putting the company' s management on a pedestal, but you shouldn' t stop people from disagreeing with you. Not necessary to tell anybody to sell his shares and move on. Or why don' t you sell your house and buy up DeClout shares?

as I highlighted outright, was just sharing my observation and my two cents worth. food for thought: why be a shareholder if you hate the company so much? just remove from watch-list or dump the shares and move on. plenty of stocks out there to choose from. if you choose to be a shareholder, then that means you trust the management, then stick with it and suck thumb even if you are losing money.

Talk much, no use. 17 cents is what market is willing to pay for DeClout shares. Whatever management did, or did not do, the market price is the clearest and fairest indicator. And market consists of all the experts, and the best and most capable investors out there. Not you or me. Making money the main motivator, not sympathy or hero-worship just because of a few glib talking directors. Who cares what spin-off or what kind of tricks they pull off, where' s the money? I hate to say this again, management claim to do so much, what is the point of investors and shareholders supporting this company whereby they don' t get any real returns? Since IPO, mind you!   Yah, perhaps some punters did.

while it is easy to comment as a bystander, I have done certain degree of due diligence and research on the company since spin-off of Procurri. just sharing my two cents worth here. quite frankly, I think the management has created a lot of economic value with DeClout - created Procurri and spun it for mainboard listing (value worth $157m at 56c/share) divestment of Acclivis netting a gain of $28m.  along the way before the group got to where it is today, they did many acquisitions, of which they usually acquired via issuance of shares due to the relatively weak balance sheet. most of the acquisitions were done at issued price in excess of 20c/share and given that the company had never stated the moratorium period of those shares, if any, it could be some of those vendors who are liquidating to return tangible cash. this probably explains the strong resistance whenever the share price tries to recover/climb to mid 20c level. as such, it continues to be trading range-bound after all these years. is the company a con-job that is out to confuse people with complicated stuffs? I personally doubt so, else why would they be one of the four companies to be selected to partner National Research Foundation with $10m fund to invest in companies to help them grow? the other three companies include capitaland, wilmar and YCH. that being said, given that the share price failed to do well post Procurri spin-off and Acclivis divestment, not sure what other catalysts do the Group need in order to push the share price up. also not really sure what else is there left for them to unlock value given that they mentioned that it typically takes few years to harvest a company. again, like I said, not taking sides but sharing my observations thus far. |

DeClout did hit 0.42 or 0.44. But that was before the Rights adjustment. Rights was issued at 0.11 My faith has turned into regrets...

From the way the management put it, it' s as if they are the experts and everybody else, including the blue chips and the big caps are " layman" , unable to understand the benefits of such schemes. And they come up with some fancy term to try to confuse shareholders further. What do we understand by the term " Equal Access Offer" ? Bullshit, I say! DeClout is just a Catalist counter and the management tried too hard to be smart. The only way to encourage shareholders to continue to hold the share is to give reasonable dividends and maintain strong stock price that is not too volatile. Not such stupid fanciful offers, which is not even a dividend itself. And as discussed earlier in this thread, watch out for the " Ex" date.

Actually that's a bit confusing. You actually sell your share to get the $0.315. You sell in market you also get like $0.17. So you really only gain like $0.14.

haha ok lah, put it this way first, they tried to pattern more than badminton but backfired by the reaction, humans are too simple in their thinking for such complicated stuff away from simply market buy back and paying dividend and sell for capital gains. they hope for something like buy back some of your share, you keep the rest and stay and watch the company grow. but too sophisticated for the layman.
business side seriously you guys gotta meet the management on your own. i'm quite convinced and sold of their ability spirit to grow declout though, i think even NRF too. 3.4% is the basic lah, bopi that got ppl don't want to subscribe to get a bigger %. odd lot wise, they say they will work out something with sgx. |
