If you look at the pictures in the SGX announcement, the building is an Annex and looks very small. Cannot be more than couple hundred millions or thereabouts and likely small change for Keppel given its massive size.

Singapore, 20 July 2023 &ndash Keppel&rsquo s private funds, Keppel Asia Macro Trends Fund IV (KAMTF IV) and a Co-investment Programme (CIP) committed by a leading Korean financial institution, have acquired the Bank of Korea' s Sogong Annex Facility (the Property) in Seoul&rsquo s CBD. With this latest acquisition, Keppel has closed over KRW 1.4 trillion (S$1.5 billion) worth of deals in South Korea since 2021, among other prime real estate and infrastructure assets, bringing Keppel&rsquo s South Korean assets under management to almost KRW 2.6 trillion (S$2.6 billion).

The traders must have of the view that the S$2.6 billion expenditure for buying the Seuol Tower is a big ticket item. The expenditure could have impact on the earnings of Keppel. It might even cause a cut in the dividend. Given time, the effect of the news will soon wear off. The BBs must have got news about the purchase beforehand, pump up in the few days and dump to get some quick money.

The amount was used to procure two electric trucks to renew the charity organisation&rsquo s fleet, and install two electric-vehicle charging points at its new premises in Telok Kurau.
