x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	On 4 Apr, SGX queried NC on the auditor' s dsclaimer of opinion on their FY resutls.  SGX asked if NC should suspend trading of their shares. NC made bold assumptions on the followings: - suifficent cash flow assuming reasonable vessel selling price and daily charter rates, - no material claims from creditors - positive outlook of the AHTS market. Less than a week after replying to SGX, NC halted.... x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	SGX must set the bar high for listing if it is to avoid Rojak and Mickey Mouse Companies on its exchange.The recent spate of listed companies going bad is symptomatic of the careless rush to grow the exchange and retail investors are now bearing the burden.

Also, if our regulators are actually good at identifying good/bad companies from an investment perspective, they probably would be poached away by investment firms already (and earn big bucks). So while I am frustrated at the fraud cases in Singapore, I think it' s more effective if I rely on myself to weed out the frauds, rather than depending on some regulator.
