Second Chance Investment Portfolio (quoted securities) as at 25 Jan 2021 At Cost $159.3m At Market Value $167.7m Gain of $8.4m, and which is an upside positive change of $24.1m when compared to value as at 31 Aug 2020 FY result => Company going to recognise a gain of $24.1m for the upcoming financial result just from its investment portfolio??? For reference: Tabulating details from company announcements on 23 Jul 2020 and FY result as at 31 Aug 2020. Investment Portfolio as at 31 Aug 2020 At Cost $94.7m At Market Value $79.5m (Loss of $15.7m) Please perform your own due diligence.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I do not know the exact reasons behind. Well, must be company see the share price undervalued. Few catalysts in my view (please perform your own due diligence): a) Massive investment in quoted securities. $147m. Not sure market value now. Well, market chiong (v hiong) for the last 2 months. Blue chips and reits up around +/- 20%. b) Based on company update to SIAS (last year last Q), company mentioned a new collective sales committee have been appointed for City Plaza. I have goggled. This has not been covered in the mainstream media yet. Paya Lebar area is now very vibrant. Majority of the new developments have been completed. So chances of the collective sale been successful this time round is relatively higher. c) Company has almost completed (or completed) closing down its $ lossing apparel business, both in Singapore and Malaysia. This is extremely good for the company. (Sim Lim Square collective sale highly likely NO go. . . Info. only) I do hope the company can appoint an Advisor on how to better put their massive investment in quoted securities to better use. $147m. . .  Recently, we see The Place Holdings with over $50m can run up over 5 times by partnering with another established real estate market player. See what Second Chance can do with $147m. . . . (Please perform your own due diligence. Perhaps Mr Salleh, CEO 2nd Chance can consider selling the company massive investment in quoted securities ($147m as at 11 Dec 2020), and partner with another strong real estate player.
