Luzern      ( Date: 27-Aug-2018 10:57) Posted: So potential retail shortist be cautious.....the BB might be drawing in shorts.  IMO Luzern      ( Date: 27-Aug-2018 09:57) Posted: From this morning action, IMO, the shortist BB was clearly spooked by the new China Currency Methodology (which caused  CNY to rise)   and Fed comment  and have unloaded with the  married deals before market opens.  The longist BB who took up the shares    is taking his/her time.  There was no fast pump and distribute like last Thursday.  Perhaps he/she is waiting for DBS to starts share buy back today to push?....the Married deal price is around ~25.31 (this is the ave share buy back price of DBS, so far exhausted 12% of limit and spent ~S$156millions on).    The BB should at least push this up to 25.50 to 25.80 before distribution if there is no impactful news from here till the target price.  IMO

x 1   x 0  Alert Admin	I hv said many times that once DBS or our banks are of value .....it will stay or return w power . Under current fail trade talk , it still above the $25 mark. ( offering a good over 4.5% yield) Share buy back is also a strong indication of the value for the bank fm the management ( like it or not action speaks ) Today DBS named the " best bank in the world " ...some may say is nothing lah.......look deeper its from a small little red dot with ZERO resources ? Wld big funds n others look at DBS differently ?  DYODD V happy investing. :))  ...n more so as a Singaporean. If you are hardworking, you can look at the data from the properties sales for Aug and Sept 2018 to judge for yourself the impact of the coooling measures) before you go long on this for long term/investment play.  For punters..... have fun........ trading the waves and news...... x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	You see what happened to DBS yesterday?  I have an issue with the ability of the share buy back team.  It was very obvious that the BB wanted to pump up DBS shares prices.  Married deal before opening to mop up the sellers and gap up to 25.1x and fast push to 25.4x.  And interestingly DBS buy back at 25.44 to 25.55 (day high) with ave price paid pershare at 25.53.  DBS...wake up.  You are providing support for the BB to distribute.  What were you thinking?  Were you so desperate to move the price up till you actually get taken advantaged by this BB?  And by Suporting the price, you are enabling the Institutions to unload at an artificially higher price.  Till date... you have burn a whopping ~S$136.9millions on share buy back.  Assuming 6%, your opportunity cost is ~S$8.2millions........    IMO, DYODD
