I did not buy SM shares and I thought that it would be fair to share the same DBS note at both threads (Seatrium & SCI). I' m a long term investor based on facts and fundamentals and not a speculator.

In the short term ....2/3mths I dont see why SCI should be higher then Kep ( my view purely base on their book value. ) Also baring any major catalyst ( Semb waste is alrdy known and should hv partial factor in ) ......BUT we do know SCI hv many other projects on its way. Longer term over nex few yrs ...SCI has potential to move in a pure clean energy player in this part of the world ( even globally ...also a major electricity/gas supplier. So trading a few times its book 2.23 is very possible ( further its book value should climb ) Kep is trading at its book ...which by valuation should be more ( take time to digest its legacy part etc) . Time will tell . DYODD and happy investing.

Sembcorp begins process to explore potential divestment of SembWaste
Sembcorp Industries U96 0.00% says it has commenced a process to explore the potential divestment of its waste management business and its energy from the waste plant.
The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) has been appointed as the company&rsquo s financial advisor.
&ldquo Sembcorp wishes to emphasise that the discussions are still preliminary, no definitive transaction has been entered into by Sembcorp in respect of such potential divestment with any party, and there is no certainty that any transaction will materialise,&rdquo says the company via a statement issued on June 5.

Sembcorp Gas signs $1.9 bil sales agreement to import natural gas piped from Indonesia
Sembcorp Industries&rsquo U96 0.00% wholly-owned subsidiary, Sembcorp Gas, has signed a gas sales agreement (GSA) with Medco E& P Natuna Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC), to import natural gas piped from Indonesia&rsquo s West Natuna gas fields at an estimated value of $1.9 billion.
The GSA is expected to be effective by 2H2023, conditional upon the necessary agreements to transport the new supply of gas. Delivery is expected to commence from 2024 for a tenure of four years, says Sembcorp in a Singapore Exchange (SGX) filing on June 5.
&ldquo The GSA supplements Sembcorp&rsquo s existing natural gas supply from piped and liquified sources, allowing it to maintain its position as Singapore&rsquo s leading natural gas importer,&rdquo says Sembcorp.
Sembcorp is Singapore' s first commercial importer and retailer of natural gas. According to Sembcorp&rsquo s website, the group brings in 431 billion British thermal units of natural gas per day from West Natuna. This gas is supplied to major power generation and petrochemical companies.
The signing of the GSA is in the ordinary course of business of Sembcorp and its performance is not expected to have a material impact on the earnings per share and net tangible assets per share of Sembcorp for the financial year ending December 31, 2023.
