I notice that analysts so far didn't mention some of the things for a better picture. STA Q3 revenue will likely be much lower as it will stop recognising gloves revenue. Likewise, the related costs will be removed. NR revenue will go up, very likely above 1Q level due to un-lockdown and also recognising the revenue of the rubber raw materials it provides to STGT. Likewise the related cost will also go up. In this respect, its earnings for NR should go up. If gloves ASP remains the same level as 2Q, then STGT's NP will be impacted as it starts to recognizer raw material costs separately. To ensure that its NP from gloves is higher than 2Q, the ASP must be above USD30/K, which it should as the demand should still be escalating. Now even 2Q earning is astronomical, why the STA price is not moving up! Maybe due to one of these reasons: 1. Big funds press it down to flush out weak holders. 2. The 56% income for 3Q may not be able to match that of 2Q even STGT's earnings for 3Q is better than 2Q.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	my opinion..... too many people using sum-of-the-parts (SOTP) method or capitalization method (the below example) to get the valuation for STA, in fact, almost all the analysis here do that ... will that work? history will tell in 10X you would fail 9X... i think the best way now is to value STA  = value of STA business + whatever dividend per share can get from STGT... this is to avoid disappointments later when share price didn' t increase due to overvaluation and sky high target price etc... at least for now, i think full valuation SOTP will not work, capitalization method also will not work (unless STA announces they selling the entire STGT stake tomorrow, ah then share price will shoot up like rocket...) you have to ask yourself why you invest in this company in the first place? if you believe their business will improve then have patience and just wait for next quarter results for the reward to come since the natural rubber price increasing.... but if you invest in this company purely because of their gloves, seriously, why not just invest in STGT directly?.... hmm no access to SET? there' s alway UG, River and TG here.... hmm too expensive? then like me lor just hold and wait until it gets better.... btw i bought not for the business and not for gloves but because furnaces say this stock good :p i made a lot of money using his medtecs valuations lol, so now i just follow, hold and wait until he says no good hahahahaha....   3dw1nchu4      ( Date: 20-Aug-2020 17:06) Posted: Disclaimer: I could be wrong about this but I did some basic calculations with STGT. Assumption 1, STA owns 51% of STGT. Assumption 2, if one were to buy out 100% of STA shares at current value, they would also receive the 51% stake in STGT. Thus, the current price of STGT should be a component of the total share value of STA. STGT current price (A): 78.25 THB (SGD $3.41) STGT total no. of shares (B):  1,428,780,000 STA total no. of shares (C):  1,535,999,998 (I' m unsure if this is inclusive of the shares listed on SGX, but I assume so) Value of STA' s 51% stake in STGT (D): SGD  $2,484,791,298 (A * B * 0.51) Value of STGT in each share of STA: $1.61 (D ÷ B) Based on historical trading price of NC2 of $0.40, we see that NC2 should be trading between $1.61 - $2.01 based on how much you value the rubber business, and how much you value the glove business (assuming both are fully valued). I.e. if you value the rubber business at $0.00, STA should be trading at $1.61 just based on its stake in STGT.
