Do you think I am a retailer ?  All the positions are covered.  This tells you that all the champions of this counter could be wrong. If you look at the equation some jokeman put up : X times of CLI NAV + 0.951 cents +  0.155 (CICT) = minimum 4.10.  The only certainty is 0.951 cents.  There are two unknowns  X and the price of CICT.  In fact, 3 unknowns - the big one being NAV of CLI.  If anyone has some vague ideas in accounting/finance.  NAV is actually very subjective - many factors influence its value.  Just follow some company annual reports for a few years, a company NAV can fluctuates significantly.  At least, there are sufficient of investors (be in short or long term), believes that we can  get CLI cheaper.  There are alot of smart money out there : if it is worth 4.10 or more, the share price would not have languish at this level.          happy2020      ( Date: 07-Sep-2021 21:37) Posted: Hi Friends..  Can anyone explain how the shortist will cover their positions if the last date of trading is on 9 Sep 2021.  As per last report from last week, the short position outstanding is still at 40 515 860 shares.  And looking at the last one week trading, the volume does not add up to this 40 million.. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Hi Friends..  Can anyone explain how the shortist will cover their positions if the last date of trading is on 9 Sep 2021.  As per last report from last week, the short position outstanding is still at 40 515 860 shares.  And looking at the last one week trading, the volume does not add up to this 40 million.. So I cant understand how the shortist would cover their shorts.. Pls enlighten me. Thanks for your replies.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I rather believe that these so-called retail investors were only trading and hoping for very short term gains.   However, their timing for such tactics is probably out of sync with reality with only 3 days left.   The interplay of short sellers and other traders with software algorithms have also jeopardised their plan to take short term gains.

The company' s transfer books and register of members will officially close at 4pm on Sept 14, ahead of the group' s expected delisting from the Singapore Exchange on Sept 21. CapitaLand shareholders in August  voted in favour of the group' s restructuring plan, which was first announced by the group on March 22 this year. The move involves privatising its development arm and listing its fund-management and property-investment business, CapitaLand Investments (CLI). This will see the group operating as two distinct entities - the new, listed unit CLI, and the privatised CapitaLand Development. The scheme of arrangement received approval from 97.6 per cent of the number of shareholders holding approximately 99.8 per cent in value of the total number of shares voted. In its latest announcement, CapitaLand said the scheme was sanctioned by court on Monday. Under the scheme, CapitaLand shareholders will receive one CLI share, S$0.951 in cash as well as 0.155 unit in CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust for every one CapitaLand share held. The implied value per share for CapitaLand shareholders is S$4.102. Assuming that the scheme' s effective date is Sept 15, the group expects to pay its shareholders the cash consideration on Sept 17 this year. CLI will be a fully integrated real estate investment manager at its inception, with funds and property management capabilities across multiple asset classes and a spectrum of private and listed funds. CapitaLand' s lodging management business, which encompasses the global serviced residence management platform under The Ascott Limited, will also become a part of CLI. Shares of CLI are expected to list and commence trading on Sept 20, as will odd-lots trades. Anyone who wants CICT will not buy capitaland in order to have CICT. They can simply buy from open market right now. Those who have CICT due to Capitaland distributing CICT to them for free may be more inclined to sell CICT in order to buy more CLI. Any non investors of CICT can simply punch in the number of lots and the price and get their CICT instantly today, no need to buy Capitaland and wait till 17 September to have their CICT credited into their cdp account. I dun think there is anything wrong or strange with capitaland shareholders wanting to sell off their CICT at the first instant after getting the free shares becos their aim interest is in CLI and not CICT. I still not sure why u want to impose ur own view of CICT on Capitaland shareholders? CICT is just a by-product of the Capitaland restructing. The main target is CLI.
